Boots to Grasses Therapeutic Horsemanship Program is a volunteer-based, 501c-3 non-profit organization which provides the opportunity for personal growth to children/adults and military veterans facing challenges through the horsemanship experience. Our mission is to provide a recreational and therapeutic equine experience which develops physical, cognitive, and emotional capabilities and enhances

self-esteem. Our program strives to provide a state of peace and accomplishment to our students. We really strive to make our program inclusive of every student. Our BtG Family (from 3 years old to over 76!) have such a wide range of strengths and abilities - some of our friends have diagnosis and some do not. Our biggest goal is that we all work together and learn from each other!

Hello BTG family, we will be watching the Big Boy 4014 locomotive steam through tomorrow morning at the Jefferies Road railroad intersection. Here is the location:

There will probably be tons of people there but I think it may be the best place to see it. Plus there will probably be a lot of parking available along the cornfields. We are estimating it will be there at about 10am. The website says it leaves Bellevue at 9am and arrives at Lorain at 11:15. 🛤️

Many of our friends have generously inquired if there are any donation opportunities available for supplies needed for Boots to Grasses! We have updated our Amazon Wishlist with links for much needed natural fly spray for our horses throughout the summer (i.e. BUG SEASON!!!) Our friends at Mr. G's are open for the summer! They have lovely plants - both flowers and vegetables - including their special tomatoes and peppers, melons and zucchini... once again there is a Boots to Grasses donation box and any donors are certainly welcome to take one of our lovely handmade plant markers!
