A co-worker of a client is looking for a home for this adorable 5-6 month-old kitten. His name is Titan and he is neutered, has received a rabies vaccine and flea treatment.

This is from his foster mom, Patty: "I can be a little shy the first 5 or 10 minutes I meet you, but just give me some wet food and I’ll be eating off your finger in about 10 minutes. I also like to cuddle and be pet a lot especially on my head or under my chin, and as soon as we get into a rhythm, I will start purring.

I’m not very vocal and don’t really meow or hiss. I’ve never scratched nor bitten my foster mom. I’m pretty mellow and go with the flow. I also just started learning about playing with cat toys and it’s been fun."

SOS — WE NEED FOSTERS! Per the County Health Officer’s shelter in place announcement today, we are temporarily closing our Adoption Center to the public. This means that we need to find the 30 cats in our care temporary foster homes so that our staff and volunteers can shelter in place until further notice.

It is a difficult time for all of us, and while we were hoping to keep our Adoption Center open to provide a safe and uplifting space for you and for our cats, ensuring our community’s safety is our top priority. To many of us, Cat Town is family and community. It’s hard for us to close our doors when we want to provide that support more than ever. But we believe that by working together, we can get through these trying times.

If you are in Oakland or a neighboring city, and able to offer a quiet space for our cats to reside, such as a bathroom or spare bedroom, please email us at [email protected] — especially if you’re someone who can be extra patient with shy and under-socialized cats. If you can’t foster, please tell a friend who might be able to help, and share our social media posts to help us find someone who can!
