Inland Black Button Spider (Latrodectus renivulvatus). I have a single female that thankfully produced an egg sac for me last night. She isn't the flashiest of renivulvatus I've seen but I'm excited to see what kind of variations come from her offspring.

Namibian Recluse, a communal recluse species found in desert and scrubland habitats in southern Africa. They are a communal species that I have housed together for several months without issues, my females are just now reaching adulthood, fingers crossed for babies in early 2025.

Maybe it's not going to be a white Christmas, but here is a white widow to make up for it. These are related to the black, brown, and red widows that are native to or established in the United States, but these spiders live in the dry, arid regions of Southwest Asia, Russia, and parts of Africa. A beautiful species, though they stay hidden most of the time in my experience.

Hello, everybody! I’m John, "The Bug Guy from the Pinnacles", and I’m happy to announce that I’m now offering feeder insects to Madison County and the surrounding areas. I’m just getting started and would really appreciate your support! Please share this with anyone who has exotic pets, crazy chicken folks, bird-feeders, anglers, homeschool groups looking for science project ideas, or even people with adventurous diets. Every share helps—thank you so much!

Currently, I have established colonies of:

Mealworms
Dubia roaches
Flightless fruit flies (Drosophila melanogaster)
Rice flour beetles
Lesser mealworms (buffalo beetles)

I’m also starting up colonies and can offer limited amounts of:

Superworms
Giant mealworms
Hornworms
Phoenix worms (black soldier fly larvae)
Waxworms
Possibly silkworms

Lastly, while I won’t be breeding the following, I could potentially arrange a standing order every week or two if there’s enough interest:

Crickets
Houseflies
Green/bluebottle flies
Pretty much any feeder bug you’d like!

You can visit my website at BluegrassBugs.com or check out my Facebook business page for updates and availability. Feel free to reach out with any questions—I’m here to help!

Thanks so much for your support as I get this off the ground.

This lovely lady is a Horrid King Assassin Bug natively found in western Africa. They are the largest species of assassin bug in the world with adults getting over 2 inches long. They apparently can give a very painful "bite" and can spray venom as a defense if harassed.
