🐴✨ BEGINNER ENGLISH & JUMPING LESSONS ✨🐴

Is your child dreaming of learning to ride English or eventually becoming a jumper? Now is the perfect time to get started! 🤍

I’m offering beginner English & jumping lessons geared toward kids and preteens, using large ponies that are perfect for young riders. (Not the ponies pictured)

🌟 What we’ll work on in beginner lessons:
• Proper English position & balance
• Grooming, tacking, and horse care
• Mounting & dismounting correctly
• Walking, steering, stopping & backing
• Learning a balanced two-point position
• Posting the trot & learning the correct diagonal
• Sitting trot basics
• Developing a steady, independent seat
• Proper use of hands, legs & seat
• Circles, changes of direction & transitions
• Poles and cavaletti exercises
• Ground poles to help develop rhythm and accuracy
• Building confidence over small cross rails
• Learning how to approach a jump correctly
• Understanding pace, rhythm & straightness
• Safe jumping techniques and proper position
• Most importantly—building a confident, capable young rider! 🩷

Jumping isn’t about how high you can go—it’s about learning the foundation, balance, rhythm and control that will make you a better rider over fences.

Each lesson will be tailored to the rider’s age, experience and comfort level. We’ll progress at their pace while keeping things fun and educational! 🐎✨

Whether you’re 5 or 50, brand new to horses or looking to improve your riding, there’s always something new to learn in the saddle!

I’m offering Western riding lessons for all ages and experience levels, with access to multiple horses. This gives riders the opportunity to learn how to work with different personalities, sizes, and ways of going — helping you become a more adaptable and confident rider.

🌵 Lessons can include:

• Proper Western seat, balance & position
• Grooming, saddling & horse care
• Safe ground handling
• Mounting & dismounting
• Steering, stopping & backing
• Learning to properly use your reins, legs & seat
• Walk, trot & lope work
• Circles, transitions & changes of direction
• Poles, obstacles & patterns
• Improving rhythm, balance & control
• Trail riding skills
• Working on confidence & independence
• Horsemanship & communication
• Learning how to work with different horses
• Building a strong foundation for whatever direction you want to take your riding

🤠 Never ridden before? No problem! We’ll start with the basics and work at your pace.

Already riding? We can focus on improving your position, communication, confidence, or specific skills you want to develop.

My goal is to help riders become confident, capable and well-rounded horsemen — not just someone who knows how to sit in a saddle.

Nothing beats a fresh trim… and it’s the perfect time to give those hooves a little extra care! 🐴🖤

Applying pine tar after a trim can help:
• Seal in moisture while helping keep excess moisture out during wet weather.
• Support healthier, stronger hooves by protecting the hoof wall.
• Help reduce drying and cracking in hot, dry conditions.
• Create a protective barrier against mud, manure, and other environmental conditions that can soften the hoof.
• Keep your horse’s feet looking and feeling their best between farrier visits.

Remember, pine tar works best on a clean, dry hoof and is just one part of a good hoof care routine. Regular trims, proper nutrition, and a clean environment are still the foundation of healthy feet!

Healthy hooves = a happier, more comfortable horse. ❤️🐎

There’s a real blessing in getting to spend your life around horses.

They teach us patience when we need it, humility when we lose it, and perseverance when things don’t come easy.

They challenge us, frustrate us, and at the same time give us moments of peace and joy that are hard to find anywhere else.

Every ride, every lesson, every quiet minute in the barn is a reminder that this way of life is something special.

It’s easy to get caught up in the goals and the work, but don’t forget to appreciate the privilege of simply getting to do it.

For all they ask of us, horses give us so much more in return.

✨ Don’t forget to curry your horse’s face and legs! ✨

Most people focus on the body, but your horse’s face and legs deserve attention too—just be gentle and use a soft curry or grooming mitt that’s safe for sensitive areas.

Regular grooming helps:
• Remove dirt, dust, and loose hair.
• Stimulate blood circulation.
• Loosen dried mud and debris around the legs.
• Give you a chance to check for cuts, swelling, heat, or other injuries before they become bigger problems.
• Build trust and strengthen your bond with your horse.

A few extra minutes of grooming can make a big difference in your horse’s comfort and health. A clean horse is a happy horse! 🐴🩷
