From long hours and hard work to handling grumpy patients (and occasionally grumpy bosses 😉), these ladies show up with dedication, compassion, and a whole lot of heart! And of course, they know how to sneak in a little fun along the way! 🤣🐎

🐴📚 Thank You for Making Our 2026 Equine Education Meeting a Success! 🎉

A huge THANK YOU to everyone who joined us Tuesday at the Marshall County Extension Office! With 105 attendees, our 2026 Equine Education Meeting was a wonderful success! We loved seeing so many members of our equine community come together to learn and connect. ❤️

Dr. Hall shared valuable information on equine chiropractic care and the emerging threat of New World screwworm, while Dr. Kim covered important topics on colic and canker. We hope everyone left with helpful knowledge to put into practice!

Dr. Riddle, one of Dr. Kim’s mentors during her time interning at Rood & Riddle, recently passed away. She wanted to share what a remarkable role model, mentor, and person he was, both professionally and personally.
Dr. Riddle made immeasurable contributions to the equine community and left a lasting impact on so many in the field. His knowledge, dedication, and influence will be remembered for years to come.
He will be deeply missed.

The AAEP joins the Rood & Riddle Equine Hospital family in mourning the passing of Dr. Tom Riddle, a true legend in equine reproductive medicine. Dr. Riddle’s immense contributions to the field were matched only by his unwavering integrity, humility, and passion for inspiring the next generation of equine veterinarians.

His legacy endures through the many theriogenology interns he mentored who not only went on to achieve board certification but become influential mentors in their own right—a lifetime of transformative impact commemorated in 2024 when AAEP deservingly bestowed its Distinguished Educator – Mentor Award upon Dr. Riddle. We extend our deepest condolences to his family, colleagues, clients, and all whose lives were enriched by his extraordinary leadership and kindness.

IVCA Member Spotlight

Dr. Lydia Hall is an associate equine veterinarian at Kentucky Lake Equine Hospital in Benton, Kentucky. She received her Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degree from the University of Tennessee College of Veterinary Medicine and is passionate about providing comprehensive, individualized care to her equine patients.

Through her training in veterinary chiropractic care, Dr. Hall has developed a particular interest in the role of the musculoskeletal system in overall health, comfort, mobility, and performance. She is excited to incorporate chiropractic care into her approach to equine patients as an additional tool to support their health and well-being.

Dr. Hall is also excited to have the opportunity to offer chiropractic care to her friends' and family's canine companions. She looks forward to continuing to expand her knowledge and skills in chiropractic medicine and incorporating this modality alongside traditional veterinary care to provide a more comprehensive approach to patient care.
