Benton County Berners

The girls have been loving the cooler weather and staying out longer for walks. Fall and winter months are for the dogs. 🍂

The amount of slobber flying out of her mouth. 🐶

Nana loves a good game of tug, or chase the rope. Whichever comes first.

Thought it was time for a little reintroduction! 👋🏼

We’re Shelby & Phil Vorheis, the family behind Benton County Berners. Along with our daughter, Hallie, and our three very best girls, Lady (5), Marvel (5), and Nana (2) we make up our family of six. 🐾🤍

After Marvel’s last litter, we made the decision to retire her from our breeding program. She has been the most incredible mama, and we’re so grateful for every puppy she’s brought into the world. While she loved being a mom, the whelping process became too hard on her body, and her health will always come first.

Now we’re excited for the next chapter! Marvel’s daughter, Nana, has officially passed all of her OFA health certifications, and we hope to welcome her first litter in the foreseeable future.

Thank you to everyone who has supported our program over the years. We can’t wait to share what’s ahead with you! 🤎

Happy 5th birthday to two of our very best girls, Lady Lou and Marvel Mae! 🐾🤍

Watching you both love on your little sister has been one of the sweetest things, even if she occasionally keeps you on your toes by banging your food bowls together. 🤦🏼‍♀️😂

You two are the reason we fell in love with Bernese Mountain Dogs and inspired us to share their gentle, loving temperament with other families through our breeding program.

This birthday is extra special because it’s your leap day birthday, which means we get to celebrate turning the same age together! 🫶🏼 Happy birthday, my sweet girls! ❤️

Roscoe is turning into such a handsome boy! Seeing our puppies in loving homes and getting all these adorable updates and pictures is truly the best part of breeding. 🐾 🥰
