🐾 Success Saturday: Alfia’s Journey to Calm & Confidence 💜
Throwing it back to Alfia’s journey with Lead The Way! 🐾
Alfia is a sweet and energetic pup who was found wandering alone in Mississippi. After being rescued and spending time in a foster home, she found her loving family and a place to call home. 💜
Life with Alfia has been full of love, but also some challenges. She would bark at cars, leaves, and people passing by, and walks could quickly become overwhelming with pulling, whining, and panic. She was also a door dasher, struggled with crate anxiety, and could get pretty mouthy during playtime.
To help Alfia become calmer, safer, and more confident, her family partnered with Lead The Way Training through our Social Dog Program. Together, they worked on her anxiety, door manners, recall, calm walking, appropriate greetings, and helping her feel more comfortable in different environments.
Step by step, Alfia began making progress. She learned to stay calmer, focus on her family, greet people more politely, and enjoy walks with more confidence. She still had plenty of personality — including working on keeping all four paws on the ground! 😄🐾
And the best part of this journey? Alfia graduated from our Social Dog Program! 🎓💜
Looking back at where she started and seeing how far she came is something worth celebrating. Her journey is a wonderful reminder that progress takes time, patience, consistency, and teamwork.
