Meet Jovie and McChicken 🧡💜🖤

🦁 Jovie, who decided to dress as a lion for Halloween, is a male American Bulldog mix born in June 2026. He was brought to the shelter due to his last home not being an ideal fit for him. Jovie is looking for a home that will give him the time, patience, and most importantly the love he deserves. He is not potty trained and will need help working on his puppy manners, but if you put the time into him, he will become the best little version of himself he can be. He would love to be in a home with other pets and children. He is neutered, up to date with vaccines including rabies, de-wormed, started on Heartworm prevention, and microchipped.

🐎 McChicken, dressed as a cowboy, is a male DSH born in March 2025. He originally came to the shelter with his mom and littermates, but was able to stay in a foster home until he was ready for adoption. McChicken was adopted as a kitten, and grew up in a home, but was unfortunately returned to us because he did not get along with the other cats in his home. He may act timid at first, but he warms up to people fairly quick. McChicken loves being pet, and his favorite spot is under his chin. With proper introductions he could live in a home with dogs and children, but will need to be an only cat. McChicken is neutered, vaccinated including rabies, microchipped, de-wormed, and negative for FIV/FelV.

Bacon and Dobbles are still searching for their furever homes 💕

🖍 Bacon, dressed as a pink crayon, is a female Pit Bull/Husky mix born in June 2026. She is a part of a litter of 6 puppies that was abandoned in a box at a local park. With proper introductions she could live with other dogs, cats, and children. Bacon will need a family that will be ready for all her puppy energy, teach her basic commands, and socialize her so she can grow into a well rounded adult dog. A fenced yard would be great but not required. She is spayed, vaccinated according to age requirements, de-wormed, on heartworm/flea preventions and microchipped.

🐈‍⬛ Dobbles, a male DSH born in June 2026, is wearing his Halloween hoodie. He was found as a stray along with his brother. Dobbles is an absolute cuddle bug who also loves to perch on everyone's shoulders. With proper introductions he could live with other cats, dogs, and children. He is neutered, vaccinated according to age requirements, de-wormed, negative for Feline FIV/LvK, and microchipped.

Meet Nyla and Rum Chata! ☺️

💜 Nyla, dressed as a witch, is a female Black Lab/German Shepherd mix born in December 2025. Through no fault of her own, this sweet girl was surrendered to the shelter in hopes of finding the forever home she deserves. Nyla is a big puppy with a big future ahead of her! She is looking for a family who understands that puppies need patience, consistency, training, and plenty of love. Her new family should be ready to help her learn basic obedience, establish a good potty routine, and practice calm, polite leash walking. In return, you'll have the opportunity to watch Nyla grow into an amazing adult companion. A fenced yard is preferred but not required, as long as her family is committed to providing her with appropriate exercise, enrichment, and training. With proper introductions, Nyla could live in a home with other dogs and children. We are unsure how she would do with cats, so a cat-free home may be the best option unless introductions can be carefully managed. Nyla may need some guidance as she learns the ropes, but she's worth the effort! If you're ready for the fun, responsibility, and rewards that come with raising a big puppy, Nyla could be the girl you've been waiting for. Nyla is spayed, vaccinated including rabies, microchipped, de-wormed, and negative for Heartworms.

🍁Rum Chata, a male DSH born in February 2026, is dressed in his Halloween sweater. Rum Chata came to the shelter as a stray with his 3 siblings. He is a very affectionate and playful kitten who is still searching for his furever home. With proper introductions he could live with other cats, dogs, and children. Rum Chata is neutered, microchipped, de-wormed, up to date on vaccines including rabies, and tested negative for FIV/FeLV.

Dogfish and White Claw are excited for Halloween! 🎃

👻 Dogfish, dressed as a fuzzy monster, is a Coonhound/Heeler mix born in November 2022. He was adopted as a young puppy and brought back due to not catching onto potty training and being fearful of new people. He would thrive best with his new family if they were patient and helped him build his confidence up. Even though he was adopted as a young puppy, he was brought back as a puppy as well. There are still so many things in life he is yet to experience and learn from, he's just waiting for the right people to do those things with. Dogfish would do best in a home without small children. He could potentially live in a home with other pets but would have to have a proper introduction first. Some of his favorite hobbies consist of going on walks and cuddling with the staff. Dogfish has been neutered, up to date on all vaccines including rabies, de-worming, tested negative for Heartworms, and microchipped.

🍂 White Claw, dressed in his Halloween sweater, is a Polydactyl (Extra toes on all 4 feet) DSH born in February of 2026. He came to the shelter as a stray with his 3 siblings. He is a very affectionate kitty who loves to perch on shoulders like a bird. With proper introductions White Claw could live with other cats, dogs, and children. He is neutered, de-wormed, microchipped, up to date on vaccines including rabies, and tested negative for FIV/FeLV.

Meet our seniors Lemon and Angus, who are still patiently waiting to find their furever homes 🫶

🍣 Lemon, dressed as a piece of sushi, is a DLH born in January of 2018. Lemon was originally brought to us as a stray a few years ago, was adopted, and then unfortunately brought back to us as a stray again after being unavailable to contact his owner. He is a extremely sweet and cuddly boy who can often be found silently meowing at anyone who walks past him. Lemon is FIV+ and had to have his teeth removed due to previous medical issues, but don't let that scare you away. He has been neutered, microchipped, de-wormed, is up to date on vaccines including rabies, tested negative for FeLV and is FIV positive.
Want to learn about FIV? Visit https://www.humaneworld.org/en/all-animals/fiv-positive-cats

🌭 Angus, dressed as a hot dog, is a Dachshund born in June of 2012, with limited vision. He was previously adopted from another shelter, and has had a few different owners, due to health changes he is looking once more. Angus was an only dog, but has been around children. We were told he isn't a fan of cats, so he will need a home without them. With proper introductions, he could live with other dogs and children. Angus has been neutered, is up to date on vaccines including rabies, de-wormed, tested negative for Heartworms, and is microchipped.

Introducing our kittens Scott and Kip (Can be adopted separately), and our senior Pit mix Shadow 🧡🖤💜

🦜 Kip, dressed as a pirate, is a male DSH kitten born in May 2026. He and Scott were brought into the shelter as strays. Kip is a very loving and playful kitten who loves to cuddle. With proper introductions he may be able to live with other cats, dogs, and children. He is neutered, microchipped, up to date on vaccines including rabies, de-wormed, and tested negative for FIV/FeLV.

🐎 Scott, dressed as a horse, is a male DSH kitten born in May 2026. He and Kip were brought into the shelter as strays. Scott is a sweet and playful kitten that loves to be petted and enjoys playing with all of his toys. With proper introductions he may be able to live with other cats, dogs, and children. He is neutered, microchipped, up to date on vaccines including rabies, de-wormed, and tested negative for FIV/FeLV.

🦇 Shadow, a male Pit mix born in August 2013, decided to dress up as a bat for Halloween. Shadow was brought to the shelter as a stray. He had a microchip, but unfortunately his owner no longer wanted him. Now Shadow is looking for people that will give him a loving home to spend his golden years in. He does have some age-related medical issues, but while they currently do not require medical treatment his family should still be prepared to continue monitoring his health as he gets older. A fenced yard is required for Shadow because he may be tempted to wander off the property. We are currently unsure how he feels about cats or other dogs, so careful introductions would be important. Given his age, he may do well with respectful children who understand how to interact appropriately with a senior dog. Shadow has already experienced the disappointment of being unwanted. Now he deserves to know what it feels like to be chosen, cherished, and loved for the rest of his days. If you have room in your heart and home for a senior dog, Shadow is waiting for you. Shadow is neutered, vaccinated including rabies, microchipped, de-wormed, on heartworm/flea preventions, and negative for heartworms.
