I have had quite a few calls this week to track lost pets. Here are a few pointers to remember when your pet becomes lost.
1. Immediately post on social media.
2. Call Rescues and Animal Control.
3. Inform microchip company that pet is lost.
4. Leave blankets outside your home or the area they were lost in with your scent.
5. A K-9 tracker can be called in but please remember that there is a limit to how long the scent trail will last. Within the first 12-36 hrs. is best for the local trackers. Also please remember that the local trackers are busy this time of year (deer season) if you schedule with them. There are only a couple trackers that will track lost pets.
