It's been almost a month since Ludo passed away 😢💔
Remembering some things about him has been a comforting way to honor his memory. Here are some fun facts about the beloved Ludo:
🌧️🪱 Whenever it rained, Ludo would dig holes in the backyard and then pull worms from the ground and eat them!
🪴 One of his first favorite toys were plastic flower pots he'd find in the backyard.
🐶🐶 His best friend in the entire world was his brother, a fellow Saint Bernard, Teddy. They even used to walk on a tandem leash together! The day they met for the first time, they held paws and cuddled, as if they already knew each other!
🥩🍖 Ludo represented a primal form of canine at times, seen through his love of meat, carcasses (🤮) and bones. He'd often turn his nose up at vegetables, despite his first treat being a carrot! He was known for finding deer legs and other various dead things while on walks in the woods.
🦋 He once ate a butterfly and despite me being a little upset with him, he was pretty proud of himself!
By honoring Ludo’s memory and remembering aspects of who he is, we can lighten the heaviness of our grief while accepting and acknowledging that his soul is no longer in the same physical form it was before. His spirit lives on and he is forever alive in our hearts!
To anyone going through grief from a beloved pet who passed away, you are not alone. 💞
