🎉 WAYLON IS TWO! 🎂🐾

We seriously cannot believe this big boy is already 2! 🥹 Waylon has been coming to Lily’s Play-N-Stay since he was just a pup, and we’ve loved getting to watch him grow up right before our eyes.

Funny story… the shelter originally estimated he’d be 20 lbs or less full grown. 😂 Well, Waylon definitely chose the “or more” option! 🤣💙

Watching him celebrate with all of his daycare friends today made our hearts so full. THIS is why we do what we do. 🐾

Just one day to plan around: we're closed to the public on Monday, September 7 for Labor Day. That's it. Every other day is business as usual.

Any boarding pups already in our care will be loved on all weekend long. We're only closed to walk-ins and drop-offs on Monday.

Still deciding about the long weekend? There's room to get your pup on the calendar, and this week every boarding baby can add a $7 Bedtime Story: ten minutes of cuddles, a quiet story, and a photo sent to you.

🐾💕 Once an OG, always an OG!

Ozzy has been part of the Lily’s Play-N-Stay family since we first opened our doors five years ago. From daycare days and Lily’s sleepovers to ALL the photo events, this sweet boy has been there for so many of our favorite memories. 📸❤️

Now, his humans are enjoying retired life and traveling, which means we don’t get to see Ozzy quite as much as we used to. So, of course, we had to give one of our OGs a little going-away celebration! 🥹🐾

Ozzy, enjoy all the adventures ahead! We’re so grateful for five years of loving you, and we’ll be extra excited anytime your travels bring you back our way.

This week, we're offering our Storybook add-on: ten minutes of one-on-one time with a team member, a cozy spot, a quiet story, and the kind of calm that helps your dog actually rest and recharge.

Boarding baby? It's a Bedtime Story before lights out. Daycare pup? It's a Nap Time Story before rest time. Either way, it's devoted, unhurried attention when things slow down, and we'll send you a photo of them all settled in.

Happy National Holistic Pet Day. 🐾💛

Today we are celebrating a whole-pet approach to care, and the person who brings it to life: Dr. Teresa Bradley Bays of 4 Paws Rejuvenation - Quality of Life Pet Care.

Dr. Bradley Bays provides holistic veterinary care, including chiropractic, acupuncture, cold-laser, and more. It is her care approach that looks at the whole animal, body and mind, and meets each pet exactly where they are.

We are so grateful for her caring hands, her knowledge, and everything she does for the pets in our community.

🐾 Just another day at the office… Lily’s style! 😂❤️

Jackson and Hercules, our two Danes, were holding down the office today with Irwin — who is fully convinced he’s a Dane too. We’re certainly not going to be the ones to tell him otherwise. 😂🐶

But the second they saw Allison coming through… those tails started going! ❤️ There’s just something so special about seeing how much our babies love our team — and knowing our team loves them just as much.

Big dogs, big personalities, lots of tail wags, and a whole lot of love.

🐾 Enrichment was ROCKIN’ today! 🐾

Our team absolutely crushed it with all of our enrichment babies today, and we couldn’t be more proud of the love, energy, and intention they put into making each pet’s day special. 💕

Enrichment is about so much more than simply keeping pets busy. It provides mental stimulation, physical exercise, confidence building, socialization, training, new experiences, and healthy outlets for their energy — all while giving them a fun and fulfilling day.

We absolutely LOVE watching our enrichment program continue to grow — especially because every pet who participates is also helping us support the shelter babies in our nonprofit, Lily's Rescue Rehab. Every enrichment day truly has a bigger purpose. ❤️

And we have to brag on our team for a minute. Every single team member who shows up each day and pours their heart into caring for these babies — THANK YOU. These pets deserve nothing but the very best, and we are incredibly grateful to have such wonderful people providing them with the love, care, enrichment, and experiences they deserve.

And to our clients — thank YOU for trusting us with your babies, supporting this program, and in turn helping us continue giving shelter pets the second chances they deserve.

Happy pets. Tired babies. Shelter lives supported. That’s a pretty great day at Lily’s Play-N-Stay. 🐾💕
