Steven came to see me today! 🐾🧡

Sometimes your dog may look like they don’t need groomed and that’s exactly how Steven looked until a good bath with de-shedding shampoo helped loosen all that undercoat. Then the fur started flying! 😂🌪️

Even short-haired pups can hide plenty of loose fluff! Steven is looking handsome in his fall bandana after his spa day. 🍂🥰

Look at this handsome little gentleman! 🥰🐾 Brady is 17 years old and came to see me today for a little freshening up!

It had been a while since his last visit, so he was ready for a good brush out and trim. We got a TON of loose undercoat out—he left with a lot less fluff and a tidy new look! ✂️🍂

It was so good to see you again, sweet Brady! ❤️

Who else grew up loving Lisa Frank coloring books, stickers, and jewelry boxes? 🌈💖🐾 All those bright colors and animal prints—I decided to bring that childhood nostalgia to life on my own dog!

This is the most detailed creative groom I’ve ever attempted, and it’s taken me TWO DAYS! Between the rainbow colors and little leopard spots, I’ve put so much time and love into this girl’s look. 🩷🧡💛💚💙💜

She still needs her final rinse and blow-dry, and I’m really hoping the finished result turns out just as beautiful as I imagined! Stay tuned for her big reveal! ✨🐶

I just want to say thank you to my regular clients. ❤️🐾

You’ve trusted me with your dogs, been patient with me through the realities of running a small business and raising a family, and supported Somerville Paws & Spas in so many ways. I’m grateful that I get to know your pups and see them come back through my door. Give them some extra love from me today!

My heart is heavy today after learning that sweet Tink had to be put to sleep this morning at 16 years old. 🌈🐾

She was such an amazing, sweet little girl, and I’m so grateful I got to be her groomer. She wasn’t fond of having her feet handled or trimmed, and she always made sure I knew it! ❤️ But she enjoyed her baths and being blow dried. Seeing how excited she got when her dad came to pick her up was always so special.

These are a few pictures from her past grooms that I’ll always treasure. We grow attached to the dogs we care for, and saying goodbye truly hurts.

Sending all my love to her dad and family during this heartbreaking time. Thank you for trusting me to care for your precious girl.

Rest easy, sweet Tink. You’ll be dearly missed. 🤍🐾

A little brushing between grooming appointments can make a big difference! 🪮🐾

It’s easy to miss tangles in places like behind the ears, under the collar, the armpits, and around the legs. If your pup will let you, take a few minutes to check those spots while you’re relaxing together. Keeping tangles from turning into mats helps make grooming more comfortable for them. ❤️
