Looking for a snuggly companion? Now is a GREAT time to find one. They have many that would love a new home.
Tell you what- if you adopt a dog from the Humane Society of Southern Wisconsin between now and October 31st, Down Town Hound will offer you 50% off your first groom!! * This is an unprecedented offer! We want to see those pets happy and loved!!! Will you help them?

Tayo's turn to shout: OH MY GOURD - WE'RE AT CAPACITY!

We are absolutely bursting at the seams at HSSW 😅 Truly - we have over 50 dogs & over 200 cats at HSSW currently. Which means we most likely have the pet(s) you've been waiting for!!

To help, we've cut out adoption fees for our dogs and cats IN HALF & we're also doing BOGO 50% kitten adoption fees! Come join us for our SQUASH Our Shelter Population Adoption Event to take advantage of these deals AND take home a new furry friend 🥰

We'll be here today until 5pm - see you soon!

Disclaimers:
Adopters must still follow all normal adoption processes to adopt a pet and pay for any additional required purchases, such as a City of Janesville License, a cat carrier, a leash/collar, etc.

Pets at off-site locations (like Petco) are not included as a part of this event. Additionally, pets in our Adoption Guaranteed Program are also not included in this event.

*This event was created due to the rising capacity concerns that have come up quickly. We apologize if you adopted just before this event began. Thank you for your support & understanding!*

Record high temperature prediction for today before we drop off into deep Fall temperatures. Looks like today is the end of Summer!

Also, I like to kick leaves!

Want to save a little cash, but your dog really NEEDS a groom?
Try alternating a haircut appointment and then a bath appointment. Your dog comes back clean, well brushed and nails trimmed with a healthy and manageable coat length for about half the price. Definitely a win-win.
