Just wanted to say a HUGE THANK YOU to everyone who came out to celebrate our 9-Year-Anniversary with us today! ❤️
Each and every one of you are the reason we’re still here nine years later, and your support means more to us than you’ll ever know.
This event almost didn’t happen the way we planned. It was originally scheduled for Saturday, but after forecasts of torrential downpours and gale-force winds, I made the difficult decision on Friday morning to postpone it to Sunday. I’ll admit, when I woke up Saturday morning, I was thinking, “Mother Nature better deliver after all that work!” 😂
Well… she certainly did.
Not only did we get the torrential rain and crazy winds they predicted, we also got a meteor! ☄️ At that point I figured Mother Nature had definitely made her point.
Thankfully, Sunday gave us a much better chance. While we had a few rain showers (and eventually decided to wrap things up a little early), the day was still a huge success. The turnout was fantastic, the energy was amazing, and so many customers told us how thankful they were that we moved the event.
A very special thank you to Officer Hogan and K9 Eiko, Officer Corey Taylor and K9 Baron, Officer Andrew Civetti and K9 Zane, and Officer Brian Conneally and Comfort Dog Bingo. They have never missed one of our celebrations and always put on an incredible demonstration. This year I even got to wear the bite suit! Their passion for what they do, their dedication to their K9 partners, and their willingness to spend time educating our community is something truly special. We are so grateful for everything they do and for continuing to make our anniversary celebrations such a memorable experience year after year.
And there is absolutely no way I could do any of this alone.
I always say, “Teamwork makes the dream work,” and today was the perfect example of that. Our team worked incredibly hard before, during, and after the event. From setup to cleanup, everyone jumped in wherever they were needed. Even Jonah, who has only been with us for a week, worked like he’d been part of the team for years. Watching everyone work together to make today successful made me incredibly proud.
A huge thank you also goes to my parents, who helped set up, worked throughout the event, and stayed until everything was cleaned up and put away. Their support means more than they know.
I also want to give a heartfelt thank you to Ted and the entire team at Above and Beyond Pet Services. I’ve known Ted for years—long before he started his business—and he has always been one of our biggest supporters. Year after year, he helps spread the word about our events, shows up to support us, and is always willing to lend a hand. His staff is just as wonderful. Their passion for animals and dedication to their clients is obvious in everything they do. We are proud to recommend them to our customers, and we’re incredibly grateful for the friendship and support they’ve shown Belmont Pet Shop over the years.
I also want to give a special thank you to all of our vendors and DJ Cummings. When we had to make the difficult decision to postpone the event at the last minute, not one person complained. Instead, everyone immediately started figuring out how to make Sunday work. Their flexibility, understanding, and support meant the world to us. We know everyone has busy schedules, families, and other commitments, and we’re so grateful they were willing to adjust their plans to help us celebrate. We couldn’t have pulled this off without them.
I’d also like to give a special shout-out to the owner of TAYLS N Trails. We had only met a few weeks ago, but when I invited her to join us, she came out, set up some agility games, and spent the day meeting customers and their dogs. It was wonderful to have her there, and I think this is just the beginning of what could be a great partnership in the future. Thank you for taking a chance on us and being part of the celebration!
If there’s one thing this weekend reminded me of, it’s how lucky I am. Lucky to have such an amazing team, supportive family, incredible vendors, wonderful community partners, and loyal customers. Moving an event at the last minute is stressful, but everyone just rolled with it and made it happen. I truly couldn’t ask for a better group of people to be surrounded by.
Thank you all for celebrating with us, supporting small businesses, and helping us make it to 9 years. We couldn’t have done it without you. ❤️🐾
Here’s to Year 10! 🎉🐾❤️
