I had the HONOR of grooming this grumpy old lady last week and I wanted to share her story 🥹
So she hasn’t been able to be groomed in a very long time because she is very spicey and afraid of anyone she doesn’t know, and the loud environment of a busy grooming salon amplified this fear. She was turned away from a lot of groomers for biting and also because they didn’t want to stress her out and have her injure her self or anyone else (which is totally understandable!) The groomers suggested she be sedated by a vet for a grooming but the owners wanted to avoid that route because of the risk with her age so they reached out to me through a mutual friend after they heard I do one on one grooming. The owner was able to drop her off and I gained her trust enough to get her half shaved, bathed and dried. Which NO ONE has been able to do In years 🥹 I then called the owner when I got to the tight matting because I knew she wouldnt let me safely remove it and he was able to come in and hold her like a baby and we got her all the way done!!!🥰🥰
Grooms like this are WHY I do what I do 👏 it’s not for the money, it’s about giving the dogs a safe place to get the grooming they really need and their owners knowing they are safe. Gaining the trust of a grumpy old dog is the highest honor and I’m so proud of this groom 🥹🥰❤️
