Want a blue tongued skink that stays small? Look no further!
Produced right here at Folkvang Exotics—we are releasing two Tiliqua gigas gigas/Ambon blue tongued skinks to the public. Only approximately two others in the USA (Fairytail Dragons LLC & Great Basin Serpentarium) have been documented to produce this subspecies over the last few years. We are happy to have joined that success this year. These babies are expected to reach no longer than 20 inches, as both parents are under 20.
Shoot us a DM to chat!
True Tiliqua gigas gigas are often one of the smallest subspecies available in captivity—though we have seen documentation of some quite large specimens! They have been documented to measure between 15-24 inches, with most being less than 22 inches long. They also have less fat and muscle in their tail than other subspecies, making them look a bit longer.

Meet the Pepper Crew!
Born June 26 2026
Freshly out of their pajamas with a successful 4th shed.
Produced out of Pico de Gallo and Phoenix, we named this litter after different peppers. We like to give themes and names to our offspring while they are in our care—but they do not know their names.
We have noted some unique color variation between this pairing, so we are only releasing 2 to the public at this time.
🌶 Ghost appears to be a possible male based on the shape around the tail base. We cannot confirm s*x at this age. Ghost has more of a pale-yellow base with thin black and orange bands that are rather jagged or broken. The black on his sides are fading to reveal more orange coloration. His tail fades to white with black bands.
🌶✨ PERSONALITY:
Ghost is one of the more outgoing and curious skinks in this litter, being the first to climb out of the enclosure and onto our hands. He has done this repeatedly and has continued climbing up his human obstacles. He is one of the more laid back skinks with handling, is quite trusting of humans once he trusts the individual, and is very tolerant of his feet, tail, and face being touched.
🌶 Banana appears to be a possible female based on the shape around the tail base. We cannot confirm s*x at this age. The wildtype genetics are showing through the most with Banana. She has a light yellow base with thin black and orange bands and small black eye spots. Her bands are rather jagged and broken up, and her tail fades to white with black bands.
🌶✨PERSONALITY:
Banana is described as lackadaisical once she learns to trust her human caregiver. She was the second to climb out of her enclosure and onto our hands. She can be a little nervous and shy before she opens up, and we can see her pausing to think before making a decision. She can be handled in any way and does not hiss or panic, allows us to touch her feet, tail, and face, and overall becomes quite relaxed or curious during handling.
Huffing and nervous behavior is normal and expected during the first few weeks at a new home.
