dogsbyjanet Dog Trainer with 20 years experience working with shelter and client dog’s. Fear free, force free and positive. Specializing in rescues and therapy dog work.

Most surrendered dogs in shelters are there for behaviors that are treatable. As a longtime volunteer at two different shelters I have the unique understanding of why many dogs are given up by families that felt they had no other option.
* Personal Note-a portion of my profits go to dog rescue and therapy dog organizations. I also spent time at a local shelter to help surrendered dogs find their forever homes. What to expect from my class. Very small classes 3-5 dogs for better one-one attention. You will learn how to improve your dogs behavior with training, exercise, nutrition, enrichment and much more. With my force free methods and holistic approach to dog training you and your family will have all the tools you need to keep a safe, happy home. Some of my qualifications. 🐾 I’m starting to wonder if my family will ever find me… 💔

I’m still here at Hometown Pets, and so far, everyone seems to love me… but no one has decided to take me home. 🥺

I’ll be honest—I’m afraid of other dogs and can be reactive around them. But people? ❤️ I have never met a person I didn’t like! I love my people and just want someone who will be patient with me and help me feel safe.

The store lady says I’m perfect just the way I am. I really hope she’s right. 🥹

I like it here at the store, and the store lady is very nice, but what I really want is a yard to run and play in, a comfy place to sleep, and a family I can finally call my own. 🏡❤️

Please come down and meet me. Give me a chance to show you what a good boy I can be.
