Limping Freeburg doggy safe and sound! Been hanging out in an Ameren utility area for at least a week. I guess some of the workers were providing it part of their lunches. Too scared to come to anyone, this beautiful eyes pup is now safe and sound. Two different colored eyes. 👀

Hope this beauty gets the forever home it deserves! Thanks for taking the trap out Kurt.

CAUGHT!! Lost Paws Trapping South!!! Molly or Momma, 1.5 years old. ❤️🐾 This little spitfire took off an hour or so after the new owner arrived home with her. Luckily, she got herself inside of a large turtle preserve fencing and couldn't remember where to get back out. Not wanting to go in the smaller traps, a larger trap had to be set. Hunger finally made her cave in as she wasn't coming near anyone to be caught by hand. 👏🏼

Great job from the Good Samaritan doobies! Rounded up nine of the 10 stray pups from Caseyville. Had to deploy a trap to catch four of them as they are not socialized. Still one out there they believe yet to get. Great job, hopefully local rescues will step up to help vet and socialize these pups and young adults! More videos in comments. Great job Kurt, Todd, and rest of the crew.

LPT South: The most handsome gentleman I've met in quite some time! Newly adopted (earlier that day), Buddy pushed open a screen door and took off. I just happened to see him running down the middle of the street where I was at a Celebration of Life Gathering. My dog radar kicked in, grabbed my car keys, and ran out the door. 🤦🏼‍♀️

He was wearing a harness, he belonged to someone. I figured it would be a quick catch with Vienna sausages. However, after several attempts it was apparent he wasn't giving in that easily.

Ran into his new owners who were frantically trying to stop him. After 2.5 hours of trying to cut him off and several people trying to monitor where he was running, streets that he was cutting through, he just wasn't giving in. I had two traps in the car but they were for a small dog I was hoping to trap Saturday.
Ran home swapped them out for the big trap. Thank God Border Collies are smart! He found his way back to the same house, don't ask me how, and went right in the trap! No videos as cameras were deployed for the other dog and there wouldn't have been time anyway. Was in such a hurry, didn't even think to take a picture. 😬

He's in a great home and what a sweet boy he is! Buddy ❤️

This little nugget was said to be roaming for some time around the Garden City Church (Faith Family) off Green Mount Road, Shiloh. Originally we were told he had a broken leg, but once seeing him on camera didn't look like it was truly broken. After getting him to eat at a certain spot, he had no problem strolling in our trap the next day.

Definitely had a sore paw or something going on not sure on the outcome of that yet. Assumed he was a stray, but turned out he was neutered and had a microchip. Belleville Area Humane Society is working on determining ownership of the dog. Very young male.

LPT South-Bunny is very shy but freaking adorable! Bunny was brought to animal control a couple days prior as a stray. Due to the cold weather in FL someone took her out for the weekend to get her out of the cold shelter. Unfortunately after only having her for about an hour she got away from them dragging her 6 ft leash. Foster tried what they could to get her back but she was too scared and bolted from everybody.

Luckily after her cold nights on the run she returned to the home and was happy to enter the trap to fill her belly. ❤️ She's petite maybe 30 lbs....freaking adorable, and sweet, in case anyone wants to come to Florida and adopt her! :-)

LPT South.... Thing One and Thing Two!
Roaming for days around a busy road and finally somewhat settling in the yard. These two were there when I got there with the traps and very eager to devour Vienna Sausages.

Silly dogs stayed very tight together and kept trying to go in one small trap at the same time. Knocking the door shut a couple times, it was quite the spectacle. Just kept working with them, they were so anxious, didn't have time to adjust the camera or even look at the camera. Therefore, video in comments sucks! 🤦🏼‍♀️ They're safe and inside for the evening.

Another Christmas Day trapping. A dog was posted multiple times over the last couple weeks running loose at the Country Club West End of Belleville. After we were contacted by the Country Club and others, Kurt Swanson established a feeding station and the dog found it immediately. Once the trap was deployed and set the dog was back and trapped quickly.

This dog was microchipped, but had been rehomed, and evidently let out off leash too often. Once ownership was verified, and situation clarified, the dog was returned home. Moving on to the next.......lol
