A photo of Apollo and Dolly both rescues adopted by their wonderful owner Rita. These 2 are special, Apollo has a cannon bone and back deformity and Dolly has one eye and all the cartilage broken in one ear, yet they were chosen and oh so loved. These 2 are living the dream in Ohio, thanks a bunch for the update.

🥲🐴🐴🐴🐴
Today was a very tough day for 2 reasons 1 I’m not ready to talk about yet as I’m still processing it. The second was saying goodbye to our Sweet starlit Skies. I had the opportunity to love this girl for almost 3 years. Starlit’s owner Paula had a bad fall and was unable to take care of her that is where the rescue stepped in. For 3 years this girl was the first to greet you and always wanting pets and scratches. Our vet had been watching Starlits heart murmur for more than a year, she began showing signs of decline and the beginning of heart failure so the decision was made to let her go on a good day. As usual Starlit came to me today when I walked into her paddock, as we walked towards the barn, I told her about all the beautiful things she was going to see today, how she was so incredibly loved and how I would miss her sweet face. Run free sweet girl tell EX I said hello.

Congrats to Jaden and her family on Classys adoption, they have been coming out for several months and fell in love with this sweet older guy. Classy has a beautiful new paddock with his goat friends to spend the rest of his days. So thankful for this wonderful family, they volunteer every month. Happy Trails 🤠🤠🤠

Fallen Oak is a nonprofit dedicated to rescuing, rehabilitating, and providing sanctuary for horses in need. Their work takes compassion, dedication, time, and a whole lot of love—and they rely heavily on the support of volunteers and the community.
