Happy September! We hope everyone had a wonderful summer. We’re heading into a new month, and we have a few important updates, reminders, and a little celebration to share with you!

🇺🇸 Labor Day — September 7

Labor Day is coming up on Monday, September 7, and we are already accepting holiday bookings!

Please remember that a holiday fee will apply to services provided on Labor Day.

If you know you’ll need pet care that weekend, we recommend getting on the schedule sooner rather than later. 🐶🐱

🎂 A VERY Happy Birthday to Mr. VPS!

September is a special month around here because it’s Mr. VPS’s birthday! 🎉🎈

Please join us in wishing him a very Happy Birthday! 🥳

We hope he has an amazing birthday month!

🏡 NEW Overnight Rate — Effective September 1

As a reminder, our new overnight rate is officially $150 per night, effective today.

Our overnight service includes:

🐾 Evening dinner visit
🐾 Overnight stay
🐾 Morning breakfast visit

If your pets require a midday visit or any additional visits during the day, those services will be charged separately at our regular visit rate.

To help us keep our schedules running smoothly, we ask that overnight clients be able to check out of the home by 12:00 PM on the day of departure.

Any stay that requires care beyond 12:00 PM may be subject to an additional charge.

Over the past few weeks, I’ve been sending out our Happiness Surveys, and I just want to say a HUGE thank you to everyone who has taken the time to fill one out!

I’m still trying to figure out how to make the survey not send after every single visit… 😂

💊🐶 Struggling to Give Your Dog Their Medication? You’re Not Alone!

Some pups seem to have a sixth sense for finding that tiny pill hiding in their food 😂🐾

Here are a few tricks that may help make medication time a little easier:
🧀 Cream cheese
🌭 A small piece of hot dog
🍗 Wet food
💊 Pill pockets
🐶 Directly administering the pill when appropriate

Pro tip: Always check with your veterinarian before crushing, splitting, or hiding medication, since some medications need to be given whole or on an empty stomach.

⚽️ TEAM VPS HAD A NIGHT OUT! 💜

A little team bonding outside of the pet-sitting world!

We recently traded our leashes, treat bags, and pet-sitting schedules for soccer jerseys, stadium seats, and a whole lot of fun! 😂⚽️

We treated the VPS team to an Orlando Pride game as a little team-building night, and we had SUCH a great time together! 💜

It was so nice to step away from the everyday hustle and simply enjoy some time together as a team. Between cheering, laughing, talking, and (of course!) discussing our own pets, it was the perfect night out. 🥰

One of my favorite parts of having a team is getting to know everyone beyond the visits they complete for our clients. Pet sitting can be a busy, sometimes chaotic job, so I really value creating opportunities for our team to connect, have fun, and build relationships with one another.

And yes… we may be professional pet sitters, but apparently we are also very passionate soccer fans! 😂🙌

A huge thank-you to my amazing team for everything you do for our clients and their pets. I’m so grateful for each of you! 💜

Hello, VPS Family! 🐾🍎

We hope everyone is having a wonderful summer! As the back-to-school season begins, we know schedules are getting busier with school starting, work routines returning, and last-minute trips before the holidays. We wanted to send a quick update with our current availability and a few important reminders.

🐾 Boarding Availability
• August 10–12
• August 18–26

🏡 Overnight Stays
Availability is limited, so please inquire for your dates! Both boarding and overnights are booked on a first-come, first-served basis.

📅 Overnight Rate Update
Beginning September 1, our overnight rate will be $150 per night.

If you already have overnight visits scheduled, don’t worry—we will absolutely honor your original quoted rate. The new pricing will only apply to new overnight bookings made on or after September 1.

As a reminder, we ask that we are able to check out of your home by 12:00 PM on your return day. If a later departure is needed, a regular drop-in visit will be added to your invoice so we can continue caring for your pets until you’re home.

Our team will be taking some time for a team-building outing on Friday, August 7! 🥳
We will still be seeing clients throughout the day, but we will be closing for the evening at approximately 6:00 PM and will be unavailable for the remainder of the night.
We’re excited to spend some time together as a team and recharge before jumping back into caring for all of your wonderful pets! 🐾💕

Knicks championship parade? Cool.

My parade today was:
• 7 litter boxes
• 4 dog walks
• 2 Churus
• 1 cat that tried to fight me for absolutely no reason

The Knicks got a trophy.

I got peed on, covered in fur, and called “the cat lady” by a neighbor.

Champions all around. 🏆🐈

FRIDAY FUNNNNIESSSSSS!!!

So I was recently diagnosed with a pinched nerve/stenosis in my neck. Went to the doctor and they took some imaging and gave me meds and I feel SO MUCH BETTER!

They took a CT Scan of my brain so I wanted to share what they found 😬
