I did a new thing this week! I joined forces with K & C Wax Co. and we set up a table at the West Liberty Merchants sidewalk sales on Thursday. This was our first vendor event and it went really well. We learned a lot, talked with some great people, and earned a few bucks! I definitely want to encourage all of you as the shopping season approaches to get out into your small town stores and see what unique gifts you can find. Shopping small, local businesses is how we keep our communities thriving. I know sometimes small businesses have higher price tags and with the economy the way it is it may seem impossible to shop local but remember who sponsors your kids sports team, who donates their time and helps sponsor community activities. 2026, the 4th year of having peach trees. After an exciting harvest of a few dozen last year there will be no peaches this year. Our peach trees bloomed super early this spring. The blooms were already gone when winter came back for a few days. Bummer since we had our first ever peaches last year and were really excited to have more this year. God has a way of working things out because this year it looks like we will have more apples than ever before.🤞🤞

We had our first close up of a bald eagle today, sitting close to the road in a field. Of course I was to engrossed in the moment to take a pic until he was leaving us. We’ve had far off sightings over the last few years but none as close as this one. Such magnificent creatures, I’m glad they are making a come back.

Well. This should be interesting. I guess my unused rabbit cages have a new use. I would take them from her but the neighbors rooster has been making the rounds daily, so I guess we’ll just wait and see what happens.🤦🏼‍♀️🤦🏼‍♀️
