Well it took longer than I expected but Forrest is finally living up to the notorious stories of his siblings’ destruction and mechanical expertise….he decided to dismantle his cage door today 🫣😅😅😅 He looked awfully proud as we checked over the damage 🤣

Check out this Timneh African Grey, Tuki, filling his time with fun shredding activities while he boards with us!! He went through this receipt paper roll toy in the span of 3 hours! Now that is one busy beak!! Mess=Success! Just one of the many examples of why we require at least two toys for all boarding birds, we love to see them happily shredding, chewing, and enjoying their time while here. Who else loves to come home and see a toy destroyed like this? We just got a restock on receipt rolls (finally!), so make sure to grab a few next time you are in the store. We are open tomorrow, Saturday, 10am-5pm.

Normally I’m pretty good about cleaning the filter on the air purifier, however, with the start of school chaos, I may have accidentally forgotten about it…..and this was the result 😱LOL. Birds of any kind can be dusty, the more you have the more dust is going to accumulate in your house. This is why we recommend getting an air purifier, because without that, all this dust would’ve been floating around the house and both humans and birds would have been breathing in the dusty air. It also functions as a night light and white noise machine in my bird room. I leave the light on the highest setting and the noise it makes helps prevent them from being disturbed by all manner of noises after bed time

We have a few “older” canaries looking for great homes! These pretty ones aged out of a breeder’s program and were passed to us. We are looking for someone with a mixed aviary or would just enjoy the company of canaries. They are between 3-6 years old. If you’re interested please text us for more info 937-848-4819

My bird loving aunt came over to meet my flock so I was excited for a chance for my guys to socialize with a “new” human. I don’t often have people over, so getting the chance to have help socializing them with someone who understands bird body language was awesome! Here’s Kiwi getting some snuggles. Are your birds ones to interact with house guests or are they more hands off with strangers?
