It is with an extremely heavy heart that we are posting this video of Midnight and his mother talking sweetly to him upon bringing him home. Sadly, his adopter is currently in hospice and she will not be returning home to her beloved boy. 😭

Midnight, who she named Simon, has been being cared for in her home by her friends, needs a quiet home, and must be an only pet. That leaves them and us with no other option than to bring him back to our shelter. Midnight will be looking for his 6th home (no fault of his own) and we are praying for both his adopter and for Midnight, that this will be his forever home to spend the rest of his days.

Please keep his adopter and all that know and love her in your prayers. She is an incredible person who is kind, compassionate, and who loves Midnight (Simon) dearly. Though she did not want him to have to go back to the shelter, it is the only option and we are just praying he doesn’t need to be with us long before he finds a safe place to land. 💔

🙏 Please, would you open your heart and home to this sweet fella? Can you please share this post?

We are so grateful to Max and Neo! Registered rescues receive about 2 to 3 donation boxes per year. The company ships out an average of 1,250 boxes each month to organizations across the country! Max and Neo also operates a 1-for-1 donation program through Max and Neo where buying any dog product results in a matching item given to an animal shelter or rescue. For every collar, leash, harness, or toy purchased by a customer, an item goes to a registered rescue

Here is our sweet Tovey modeling our most recent shipment and this his story:

Beethoven, affectionately known as Tovey, is an 8 year old Jack Russell/Beagle mix who has endured an incredibly rough life. He and his brother were tied to a tree for 6 long years of their lives before ending up in separate homes. Though the owners of both loved them dearly, Beethoven and his brother became double their ideal weight and their health suffered.

Sadly, Tovey’s brother has passed away as a result, and our sweet little gentleman was diagnosed with Cushing’s Disease, which requires medical management and affordable, but daily medication.

Tovey is an exceptionally loving and loyal companion. He is mildly playful, loves walks and rolling in the grass, and is excellent with everyone and everything. We want his golden years to be spent in the home that he always deserved.

If you would like to adopt Tovey, visit helpfrommyfriends.org and fill out a pre-adoption form! 🐾 🧡

Happy National Dog Day!

Because of your support, our center pups are enjoying their incredibly fun, interactive playground! We wanted to share their experience, while saying THANK YOU for this and everything else you do for the sake of our animals and rescue!

Your recent donations have completely transformed our back dog yard and brought so much joy! To see our pups who have come from difficult backgrounds running, playing, and simply getting to be happy is a reminder of why Help From My Friends matters!

Your support didn't just buy equipment; it is providing mental stimulation, physical exercise, and enriching the lives of every rescue dog currently waiting for their forever home.

From all of us—two-legged and four-legged alike—we appreciate you!
