This funky bunch is going to fill your heart with joy and gratitude, while bringing you just the right amount of chaos and inner peace!

Join us with these sweet babies, who we simply could not leave behind at our local shelter. Their silly antics and playful, loving energy won us over instantly and we knew we had to bring them to Help From My Friends IMMEDIATELY! We didn’t have the space, and neither did Antrim County Animal Control, but we knew others will and would be so fortunate to invite them into their hearts and home!

Get ready for a whole lot of fun, hugs, kisses, snuggles, and love! These babies are incredibly special and such an engaging group!

They will be attending our first Purrs and Poses Kitten Yoga Class at 4 pm on October 24th! Visit their website and register for a good time or the opportunity to meet your new best friend! ♥️

They are ready to teach you everything you need to know about life, love, and poses that will benefit your body and mind! 🐾 ♥️ 🧘‍♂️

Space is limited—reserve your spot at lifesworkstudio.com!

For those of you looking for any and all ways to provide your pets with everything you need, check out what green tea can do for your furry friends!

🍵🐶 GREEN TEA EXTRACT CUTS DOG CANCER CELL GROWTH BY 50% IN LAB TESTS! 🤯

Green tea contains powerful plant antioxidants called polyphenols, including EGCG. And canine research is uncovering some fascinating findings!

🔬 1. GREEN TEA & CANCER
A peer-reviewed Cornell University study published in BMC Veterinary Research found green tea extract inhibited cancer cell growth by 50% at specific lab concentrations across THREE canine cancer cell lines:

🐾 Mast cell cancer
🐾 Bone cancer (osteosarcoma)
🐾 Mammary cancer

🔥 2. LESS LIVER INFLAMMATION
In a 12-week canine study, green tea polyphenols reduced three major inflammatory signals: TNF-α, IL-1β and IL-6. Researchers also observed less liver fat buildup and tissue damage!

🦠 3. BETTER GUT HEALTH
Another canine study found green tea polyphenols improved markers of intestinal inflammation and influenced gut bacteria.

🦷 4. ORAL HEALTH
Green tea catechins have been investigated for fresher dog breath. A multi-ingredient formula containing matcha also reduced dental plaque!

Please share! This is a valuable resource and make sure pets in our surrounding area are well fed, despite any hardships their humans might be facing!

Please support this much needed nonprofit so that pets needs are met and their tummies are full!

If you’re experiencing hardship and you need help feeding your pets, please let us know and hopefully, we can help you find the assistance you need. ♥️

Well, it seems my optimism that our community would get behind
Hoop's Neighborhood Pet Store Wishlist was misplaced!
Since going live, ZERO items from the Wishlist have been purchased for the pantry, and we will be scrambling to feed 1000 pets this month. I'm going to see what I can do to make purchasing from the Wishlist easier - but maybe it was a bad idea!

A wonderful couple visited two of our kitties today after recently losing their beloved kitty. They happened to be very interested in a black cat, preferably male, who was happy being an only cat! 🐈‍⬛

Lucky for us, Simon (aka Midnight) just happened to be here, waiting for a safe, quiet place to land and their household was purrfect for him.🖤

It didn’t take them long to decide they couldn’t leave without him. We are so grateful and we would like to think that his previous owner, who was so worried about where he would end up after finding out she was terminally ill, helped them find our rescue to fill the void in their lives (and Simon’s).

We will sleep easier knowing Simon has two really great pawrents who will spoil him and care for him the way his previous momma would have wanted. We hope this adoption brings comfort to all who knew and loved Lori and Simon, and all of you who have been sharing his adoption post and rooting for him to find his happily ever after! 🐾

Rest in peace, Lori, and thank you for loving our sweet Simon!

We don’t take in reptiles because we don’t have the knowledge it requires, but Lizard Lounge does and is an incredible resource in our area.

If you have reptile experience and are interested in finding a suitable and scaly sidekick for your household, please contact them. We know it is easy for anyone to attain a reptile, however, we advise you to know what you’re getting yourself into. Reptiles are very complex creatures to maintain and need a lot of care to thrive.

Please do your research and adopt, don’t shop!

We have so many lizards looking for homes, if you are considering adopting you won’t only be helping one lizard, but also the next on the waitlist that gets to take their place here at the lounge! We are at capacity, and still have so many that desperately need help. Don’t wait, don’t shop, adopt!🦎
