Perfect for an after-work Friday ride. We’ll hit the trails in the evening and ride into sunset. Beginner through advanced riders welcome.

🌳 SATURDAY, SEPTEMBER 5 — NATCHEZ TRACE
📍 Franklin
⏰ 9 AM–1 PM
🐎 4-hour ride
💰 $225
Four hours on some of our favorite Tennessee trails — a pretty perfect way to spend a Saturday morning. Beginner through advanced riders welcome.

🤠 SUNDAY, SEPTEMBER 6 — MIZE CATTLE CO.
📍 Pulaski
⏰ 9 AM–6 PM
🐎 ALL-DAY ride
💰 $375
This is the big one. We’ll spend the day riding our private property at Mize Cattle Co. — open fields, wooded trails, creek crossings, cattle country and plenty of time in the saddle. If you’ve been wanting the full AOS experience, pick Sunday.

You do NOT need your own horse. We provide the horses and experienced guides — you just need jeans, boots and a day you’re ready to spend outside. (You can bring your own mount for a guide fee - reach out to us with questions.)

A $100 deposit via Zelle reserves your horse, with the remaining balance due the day of your ride.

We only take a limited number of riders so everyone gets a safe, personal experience.

FRIDAY EVENING TRAIL RIDE — EAST FORK, MURFREESBORO 🐎

Come spend Friday evening in the saddle with us!

We’re heading out to East Fork Boat Ramp in Murfreesboro for a four-hour ride as the evening cools down and the sun starts to set — and this ride is open to ALL skill levels!

Whether it’s your first trail ride or you’ve been riding for years, you’re welcome to join us. 🐴

🐴 MEET THE HERD: DIXIE 🐴

If you’ve ridden with AOS, there’s a good chance you’ve met this pretty girl. ❤️

Dixie is our 4-year-old APHA mare standing around 15.2 hands, and she’s one of the bigger horses in our herd.

She’s sweet, confident, athletic, and has already put plenty of miles under her on trails all across Tennessee. She’s the kind of mare who can safely carry a beginner but still has enough get-up-and-go to be a really fun ride for someone more experienced.

At only four years old, Dixie has already proven herself to be a pretty special little trail horse. She’s crossed creeks, climbed hills, traveled to new places, hauled out with the herd, and carried all kinds of riders along the way.

And she is PRETTY. We may be biased, but look at her. 😂

Dixie is also currently looking for her person. ❤️

She is available for a 3, 6, or 12-month full lease at American Oak Stables for $675/month, which includes unlimited riding time. If you’ve wanted the experience of having your own horse without being ready to purchase one, she could be a great opportunity to do exactly that.

Come meet her, ride her, and see if you two click. 🐎

Instead of waiting for the perfect ride to pop up on our calendar, you tell us what day works for you and how long you want to ride — and we’ll take it from there.

Getting back in the saddle after a few years away? Absolutely.

Experienced rider looking to cover some miles and get some good loping in? We’ve got rides for you too.

Weekday rides are available for beginner through advanced riders, and we’ll choose the trail and match the ride to the experience level of the group.

Fall riding season is finally here, and we’ve got a full month of Tennessee trails planned at American Oak Stables!

Whether you want to spend a couple hours in the saddle or make an entire day of it, September has plenty of chances to ride.

Our rides are open to beginner through advanced riders, and we’ll match you with a horse appropriate for your experience level. Jeans and boots are required. We provide saddle bags!

🍂 Fall is one of the BEST times of year to ride in Tennessee, and weekend spots tend to go first. If you see a date you want, don’t wait to grab it!

🐎 AMERICAN OAK STABLES IS LOOKING FOR A PART-TIME WRANGLER! 🐎

We’re looking to add an experienced, dependable wrangler to our team with Tuesday–Thursday availability.

This is NOT an entry-level horse position. We need someone who is confident around horses, comfortable hauling, and capable of safely taking charge of a group on the trail.

You must be able to:

- Confidently handle, tack, load/unload and manage multiple horses
- Drive a large-bodied diesel MANUAL truck — you must be comfortable driving stick
- Confidently pull, maneuver and back a 7-horse trailer
- Lead and manage trail rides with up to 8 clients at a time
- Assess riders and horses and make good decisions on the trail
- Handle unexpected situations calmly — horses being horses, nervous riders, trail obstacles, etc.
- Be friendly, patient and respectful with our clients while still being comfortable taking charge when safety requires it
- Be dependable and available Tuesday–Thursday

We’re looking for someone with real horse experience and strong horsemanship skills. You need to be comfortable working independently and taking responsibility for both horses and riders.
