This was an unsolicited testimonial that I read from Diana Stafford Diana Paulas-Stafford Tiny Tails k-9 Rescue, Montana.
Thank you for the extremely kind words and trust that you have given to us.
Good morning. I wanted to toss this out there. As you probably know I have been taking one of my dogs to professional dog training classes for almost 2 years now. She is doing amazing and I love Montana Murray Kennels trainers Ron and Jen. They are amazing. First off they don't tell you what you want to hear they tell you what you need to hear. Things that I have found out in training classes that I would never have been able to effectively see or correct on my own. Handlers can get blind to our own mistakes. 1. The power of the pack. If you have a dog that hasn't been around other dogs and strangers. The power of the pack can help with many things. reactivity to other dogs, reactivity to strangers. A calm training pack can remove anxiety from your dog. Help them feel more comfortable in their own skin. 2. Handler Training. Having a professional dog trainer watching your interactions with your dog can be huge. Some times a handler is totally unaware that they are sending out signals that are unwanted. Your personal emotions and energy goes right down that leach to your dog. 3. Learning how to communicate with your dog clearly is huge in good training. Most dog trainers will tell you that training the owner is as important as training the dog. 3. routine. So important to keep your training up to date. A single 4 week puppy class is a great start. However, if the training stops there and your not taking your dog out and enforcing those skills they will disappear over time. I personally love doing the pack walks that MMK training facility Penny and I attend provides. Which there are 4 scheduled a week at different times of the day for all intermediate and above trained dogs. We sometimes have 75 dog/handlers + walking at once in a pack. We are also encouraged to switch off and allow other handlers to walk our dogs and us theirs. This makes sure that your dog isn't only trained to mind just you. Another thing I like about our trainers is that we do location training. During the winter months. One Sat. class is held at a local hardware/feed store. We do all the same training just is a location with distractions. During the summer months we do a outside pack walk in down town Belgrade once a week. about a 2 mile walk in a pack that exposes our dogs to different sights, sounds, traffic. etc. and of course it is great bonding time with your dog. I recommend Jen Osler and Ron as trainers as I have known Ron Murray for couple of decades. He is my go to guy for evaluations of dogs that I have brought into rescue and have questions about. So, If you want a healthy way to get some exercise and get a well behaved and trained dog/s. Invest in a class or two. Penny and I are off to pack walk. Have a great week.
