Does your dog need a bath this weekend? MSU PreVet Club hosts this event twice a year, and supports our future veterinarians! 🐶🛁

This weekend the MSU pre vet club on April 19th from 8-5, is holding our biannual dog wash fundraiser! Please stop by and bring your dog to the dog wash to get a bath! Here is some information about this event! Proceeds go solely to the club in order to put on events (like suture clinics) for our members as well as our annual trip! The prices vary depending on size of animal, but 50 lbs and under are $20, 50 - 100 lbs are $25 and 100 lbs and over are $30. While you can make an appointment, it is not necessary as walk ins are welcome! One commonly asked question we get is if we offer nail trims and unfortunately we do not, we only offer a bath with a towel dry and brush. If you have any questions please reach out via email ([email protected]) or by direct message! We hope to see you there!

February is National Pet Dental Health Month, the perfect time to focus on your pets oral health! Dental disease is one of the most common (and preventable) conditions we see if cats and dogs. Regular oral exams, x-rays, and cleanings can help prevent pain, infections, and more serious health conditions.

To celebrate, we're offering 10% off dental procedures throughout the month of February. This is a great opportunity to schedule a dental cleaning, and help keep your pet healthy and comfortable.

✨Why Dental Care is important:

- Helps prevent bad breath, gum disease, and tooth loss

- Reduces the risk of infection spreading to the heart, liver and kidneys

- Improves overall comfort and quality of life

Appointments are limited, so we encourage you to schedule early! If you have questions, would like an estimate, or would like to book your pet's dental procedure, please give us a call!

We look forward to helping your pet smile a little brighter!

We wanted to give a warm welcome/introduction for our new Associate Veterinarian, Dr. Kelsey Heiberg!

Kelsey is a fifth generation Montanan born and raised on the Hi-Line, but she calls the Gallatin Valley home now. She attended both North Dakota State University and Montana State University, graduating with Bachelor’s degrees in Veterinary Technology and Animal Science. Kelsey earned her DVM from Colorado State University in 2020, and has been working in the Bozeman area ever since. She enjoys emergency/critical care, internal medicine, diagnostic imaging and pain management- but most of all, she really loves working with cats.

In her free time Kelsey enjoys running, mountain biking, skiing and reading. She shares her home with two cats, a dachshund, and a husband.

We are so excited to have her on the Skyline Team!
Call us at (406) 388-3164 to book!

Good morning all. As you have already most likely heard, there was a positive case of Streptococcus Zooepidemicus, a bacterium that can cause severe pneumonia, recently diagnosed in Bozeman. Know Thy Dog, where the dog was being boarded, acted quickly and brought the affected dog to Bridger Veterinary Hospital for care, where he unfortunately passed. Strep Zoo is usually only fatal in immunocompromised dogs and so far, all other dogs at the facility have remained healthy and are in quarantine. Know Thy Dog has had excellent communication and we wanted to share the information they have passed along. Please call if you have any questions or concerns, or if your dog had boarded at Know Thy Dog in the past 3 weeks.

Attention KTD clients!

We’ve unfortunately have had a confirmed case of Strep Zoo of a dog who was last in the facility 10/9. Our Daycare is closed Oct 17–23 for deep cleaning and limiting exposure.
If your dog has been in the facility in the last three weeks, please contact your vet with this information to see what their recommendation is. We will also be reaching out directly to each owner whose dog has been at the facility during this time frame to ensure everyone is aware.
Boarding families: we will not be accepting any incoming dogs for this same duration.
Please closely watch your dog for any signs of illness and treat any symptoms (lethargy, coughing, sneezing, nasal discharge, difficulty breathing, vomiting) as a medical emergency. Thank you for your attention and prompt responses in an effort to keep our guests and the Gallatin pet community as safe and healthy as possible💚
