Scout’s last day of training has arrived, and this little guy has been an absolute blast to work with!

Scout has a ton of fun drive, and we’ve been able to channel that into his training to build engagement, obedience, and reliability. In this video, you’ll see all of his work being done “off leash.” For safety, we use 15-foot long lines, but Scout is well on his way to earning true freedom through consistent training and proofing.

You’ll also see me rotating between two dogs, working them around one another to strengthen impulse control, neutrality, and the Place command. Training in a public park is already full of distractions, but adding in other dogs and off-leash work takes things to another level.

I’m incredibly proud of the progress Scout has made so far. He’s come a long way, and I can’t wait to get his family up to speed so they can continue building on everything he’s learned and enjoy all the adventures ahead with him. 🐾❤️

Remember the golden who couldn’t be crated?
This is Mister Maverick now 🥹

Not only has he conquered his crate fear, but we’re actively working through a full obedience revamp!

Maverick was known for bolting out doors, running amuck, lacking personal space, and thinking a light jog meant full speed ahead 😅

Now? We’re building structure, leash skills, impulse control, and most importantly, confidence and independence.

He’s got an incredible family who wants to include him in all kinds of fun adventures, and we’re working hard to help get them there together. Training isn’t just about commands, it’s about creating a dog that can safely and confidently exist in everyday life.

Leash skills and independence are only one piece of the puzzle, but this handsome guy is making huge progress already 💛

Scout 🥰

Scout’s been working with both Megan and Ashley for the last week and a half, and this little monster is learning incredibly fast. He’s well on his way to becoming the best companion for his family.

So far we’ve been working through impulse control, recall, and overall better manners both in and out of the house. He’s smart, eager to learn, and always ready to work.

This little guy is awesome and we can’t wait to continue watching him grow 🖤

Raw training on Rhett 🩵

Little man is getting so big, stop growing!!! We’re taking everything he learned and adding longer duration and more distance. He’s doing absolutely incredible in ALL environments. Unfortunately with the rain, it took away our opportunity to work out at the park but working through loud sounds and lots of people are just as great.

Really happy with how this guy is turning out, at only about 17? 18? Weeks old, he’s a real pro already!

‼️HEAT WAVE REMINDER FOR DOG OWNERS ‼️

The temperatures are rising and our dogs feel the heat even faster than we do. Please take extra precautions during this heat wave to keep your dogs safe, healthy, and cool.

🔥 HOT WEATHER SAFETY TIPS:
• Walk early mornings or later evenings to avoid hot pavement and extreme temperatures
• Always bring fresh water on outings and encourage frequent hydration
• Avoid prolonged exercise or high intensity activity during peak heat hours
• Check pavement with the back of your hand — if it’s too hot for you, it’s too hot for paws
• Provide shade, fans, AC, cooling mats, kiddie pools, or cool resting areas
• Never leave your dog in a parked car — even for a few minutes
• Be extra cautious with brachycephalic breeds, puppies, seniors, overweight dogs, and working dogs

⚠️ WATCH FOR SIGNS OF HEAT EXHAUSTION:
• Excessive panting
• Thick drool
• Bright red gums
• Vomiting or diarrhea
• Weakness or wobbling
• Glazed eyes
• Collapse or unresponsiveness

If you suspect heat stroke, move your dog to a cool area immediately, offer cool (not ice cold) water, and contact your veterinarian ASAP.

Your dog depends on you to advocate for them in this heat. Stay safe, stay hydrated, and give your pups plenty of breaks. ❤️🐕

Super thrilled with how Moose’s training is coming along! Moose started our Day Train Program last week with Ashley to help work through some pushy behaviors, solidify obedience, and build a reliable recall.

In this video, Moose is working through recalls out of the pool, releasing the toy, and sitting before being sent to chase the ball again all while doing what he loves most… swimming!

Making training fun, rewarding, and engaging is such an important part of building motivation and reliability, and this was the perfect way to end a very hot day! 🐾💦
