Friends sharing food. If there is enough food for everyone, animals share. Cats and raccoons live harmoniously together. There is no fighting involved as long as they don't have to fight over food. In the spring, female raccoons come out during the day to nourish themselves so they can feed their young. It is not unusual, and it is not a sign that the raccoon has rabies. Rocky the raccoon and one of our regulars at the Industrial Colony.

Last week I was out on an errand and ran into my dear friend and Rescue Right adopter, John Bagley. His dog Hechi (brown ) came from a Chinese dog meat seller. Crackerjack (brown and white) came from a hoarding case we worked on. John is the absolute BEST dog dad who loves his babies with his whole heart.

Be careful what you feed your cat! So many common foods are highly toxic to our feline friends

Thank goodness people are trying to save them. Whenever there are storms, many animals perish.

Our injured feral girl is healthy again, and today we released her back to her outdoor territory. Great result for an injury that could have killed her. Another happy tail from the good people at Rescue Right.

I got a call from a local business who is feeding this outdoor cat. She’s developed a huge abscess on her face, probably from a bite wound. I managed to trap her, get her comfortable in a cage, and she’s sees our visiting vet tomorrow. This girl will be in the mend and back outside soon😀, just in time for some spring weather.

Great story for you;

I got a call from a county official who was assisting at the home of a deceased gentleman in a nearby town. The man had an elderly cat, but nobody could get him from his hiding spot. I was able to get the cat quickly, and I found out he had a home waiting. He needed some vetting, which I was happy to do.
It turns out the man’s boss, the same person who arranged his funeral and handled every detail of his passing, decided to do one last thing for his employee and friend. He came today to fulfill his promise to take the cat, his buddy’s only family.

It was an honor to meet this extraordinary man and play a part in helping him fulfill a dying wish. To Katt’s dad up in heaven; rest easy, your best pal is safe.
