As National Veterinary Technician Week comes to a close, we just want to say THANK YOU — not only for what you do, but for who you are. 💙🐾

You are the calm in the chaos, the steady hands behind the scenes, and the advocates that speak for those who can’t. From wrangling cats and calming anxious pups to comforting clients and keeping our teams going — you do it all with compassion, grit, and grace.

This week may be ending, but our gratitude sure isn’t! We hope you felt celebrated, appreciated, and maybe even a little spoiled — because you deserve it. 🎉

Here’s to our Vet Techs — the heartbeat of our care centers, our champions of patient care, and the reason every day is better with a little fur, laughter, and love. 🐾💙

Meet Perona – Your Purrfectly Wobbly Shadow!
Perona is a 9-month-old sweetheart with a heart full of love and a gentle, playful spirit.
She has mild cerebellar hypoplasia (CH), a non-progressive condition that makes her a
bit wobbly—but she doesn’t let that slow her down one bit! She runs, plays, climbs, and
charms everyone she meets. Her condition is stable and she has had a consultation
with the neurologist.
Perona can be a little shy at first, but she warms up quickly—usually within a day or
two—and becomes a total cuddlebug. She loves curling up in your lap and purring
away. She also has the cutest, soft, squeaky meow that she uses to greet you and her
feline friends. She gets along wonderfully with other cats, does well with the dog in her
foster home, and would thrive in a loving, social environment.
Perona is currently being fostered by Dr. Anna and is available for adoption through the
SPCA Westchester. She is spayed, FIV/FeLV negative, and microchipped. She has
also seen the neurologist for her condition. A meet-and-greet can be arranged for
potential adopters—come meet this special girl and see just how easy it is to fall in love.
