Meet Mr. Jim Hale ❤️

When Jim first came in, he asked if he could sing and read to the dogs. Of course, we said absolutely — and ever since then, he has been such a wonderful volunteer.

Jim has opened his heart and home to one of our special needs dogs and has also adopted a couple of cats from us as well. His kindness doesn’t stop with the animals either — he always thinks about our staff too. Pictured here is a special birthday cake he brought in for one of our team members.

We love and appreciate everything you do, Jim. Thank you for your compassion, generosity, and the joy you bring to both the animals and our staff every single day.

WVU Tech Basketball X Humane Society of Raleigh County!

In partnership with the HSRC, a percentage of proceeds made from the two WVU Tech Basketball Camps (June 15-18 & July 20-23) will be donated to the animal shelter. There will also be a donation day for anyone in the area to bring dog/cat food, treats, leashes, blankets, etc. to the camp!

On the last day of camp, a couple dogs from the shelter will be brought to camp to walk and play with the campers in hopes that they will find a forever home!

Huge thank you to City National Bank for helping us with our Paws for a Cause donation drive!

If you would like to donate and help the animals in our care, donations can be dropped off at the Eisenhower Dr location. Every donation makes a difference for the dogs and cats depending on us

This weekend we were honored to attend two wonderful events. Thank you to ACE Adventure Resort for inviting us to be part of the Dog Days of Spring 5K event, and thank you to Beckley Kroger for welcoming us to your Community Day event!
Our staff and pups had such a great time meeting everyone, spreading awareness, and sharing smiles along the way
Also our pup cups were a big hit!
