Oh Mr. Beau....our man-bun, dancing bear collar wearing, most stubborn but oh so sweet pal...we are all going to miss you here at Happy Paws.
This morning we received the terrible news that our long time client and pal, Mr Beau, has crossed the Rainbow Bridge. Beau was a character...he gave us so many laughs through the years.... I'll share a couple with you...One time during a walk with the day care dogs, on an extremely hot day, Mr Beau decided that when he was passing by Fosters Main Street Tavern that he was done walking for the day...lol. Beau could not be persuaded that shade and a cold b**r wasn't a good idea! We literally had to call his mom to figure out how to get him moving again...lol Another time, he ate the money his mom had just left me for day care! We loved his antics, and he definitely kept us on our toes.
Thanks for sharing your time with us, Mr Beau. You were and always will be loved by your pals at Happy Paws.

Ball is Life....that was the philosophy our pal Justin lived by...Justin was an amazing ball catcher and athlete. His soulful expressions were unlimited and awesome. He was a gentle and kind soul and the first dog his favorite boy, Sebastian, shared a life with...I will never see a tennis ball without thinking of him.
Today our hearts are broken as a long time client and friend, Mr Justin crossed the rainbow bridge in his awesome Mama's arms last night. It was very sudden and completely unexpected. We are crushed. We were honored to travel with him on his final journey this morning to Mountain View Crematory.
Rest easy sweet pal...you were a good boy, a great athlete, and a loved member of your family and a staff favorite at Happy Paws. Go chase all the tennis balls buddy...we will love and miss you always. 🐾💕🌈

Hello friends and followers!!! Here's a look at life lately! There have been plenty of shenanigans, high speed chases, dinosaur battles, pool parties, and lazy day naps to keep everyone happy. We are going to try to get back to our weekly posts! We miss them...how about you?
We offer doggy day care, boarding, in-home pet sitting, and dog walking!

It's officially summer at Happy Paws! And that means the puppy pool and the sand pools are officially open! Cash is the happiest boy on the planet right now! 🐾💕🐾💕

Today, I am again filled with sadness...one of my best buddies, Ms Rozzi, has crossed the Rainbow Bridge. We cherish every single furkid entrusted to our care, but Rozzi was definitely a favorite with everyone at Happy Paws! When we first started with Rozzi, she HATED every human who didn't live in her house...but she had the BEST pet parents and they were committed to making her have a good life. They took her to a behaviorist in Blacksburg, who wrote me into the rehabilitation plan. We started off with her fully muzzled...it took 6-8 weeks (multiple sessions weekly) before she was ready to be around me without the muzzle. Once that muzzle came off, we were besties the rest of her life...she accepted my staff (with some time) and it was beautiful to see her expanding her circle and making friends. Her circle remained small, but she loved us all with her whole being...and when a dog makes you work that hard for their affection, it creates a fierce bond. I will love you forever Rozzi and I will never forget you. Please keep her humans, Candi and Jonathan in your prayers as i know their hearts are broken tonight too.
