ESA Training with our nursery babies. Eclipse is practicing his outdoor safety with his harness on. We always leash our babies in training outside even if the leash stays on the ground in the grass. It’s simply a precaution and also so they are used to it. He’s already confident in his harness and such an explorer too!

Taco Update: He is doing fantastic. Currently molting and growing in new fancy pants feathers so he can fly around my office all day and judge the cats. He is the man for the job for sure and bosses them around like a tiny TRex. He has learned to take baths, cat call whistle and that hands are not so scary. We’ve learned: he loves music, talking in his mirror and floor foraging in his house.

We are working on diaper training, introducing more chop because chop is still scary, and stepping up.

He’s a happy opinionated boy.

For anyone wondering, Taco was found outside in May. A lovely family was able to catch him. They were not able to keep him safely, so we took him in as a foster hold. We’ve had a bunch of people inquire for their lost parrot and we’ve searched with due diligently but none have matched. Since it’s been over 5 months, we have figured he may as well stay with us. He is happy and parrots often struggle with big changes. 💚💚💚

From time to time I share behind the scenes perspectives.
My family is amazing, my entire family supports this small business I’ve created from my own hopes, goals and creativity. I make nearly everything I sell myself. So every toy I make I’ve designed, grown, sourced local organic material, package, label, website manage, customer service etc.

I absolutely love my bunny families. So many of you I see often, you support everything I do. My business has grown a lot over the last 6 years. I interact with people all over the world and appreciate the connections we all share for our love of animals.

Unfortunately, with growth there are also difficulties. I try my best to meet everyone’s needs, do better, make things work best for everyone. For some reason, there’s been a few people this year, that have honestly been verbally abusive or highly inappropriate and do not respect my policies. And it really bothers me and I am forced to be an as***le. I don’t want that. You don’t want that. Regardless of anything, mutual respect is so important for me and how I do things. My policies protect everyone and help maintain expectations so we know what to expect. Regardless if your boarding, getting nail trims or ordering supplies, I will always provide the best care to your needs as possible. I want my bunnies families to be happy. What I will not tolerate is any abusive behavior. Abusing my policies, abusing me or anyone around me verbally or behaviorally, abusing your access to me just because I do go out of my way to make sure my customers are taken care of.

So I’ll be clear. If you are abusive you will be banned for life from my business. Treating and talking to people like s**t is unacceptable. I find very few circumstances where this is acceptable, to be quite blunt, because I look as any potential issues as solvable problems. Yes I am a business but I am still a person.
