On Monday I was tagged by our ~3” female Phormingochilus sp rufus. The bite itself didn’t really hurt, it felt a little like a bee sting. However, over the next couple of hours, my arm started to get really tender. I went to bed, and must have slept on the bite because I woke up to stabbing pain in my arm. It went away pretty quickly, and then for the remainder of the day I felt like my arm was severely bruised. I also felt like I had the flu for most of the day yesterday. Today I feel much better, but my arm still feels like it was bruised. Pictures show 5 minutes after I was bit, 3 hours after I was bit, the day after I was bit, and then today 🥴🙃

Freshly molted female Harpactira marksi. This girl will be paired with a friends male as soon as she’s hardened up and fattened up 😍🖤

We have a couple of these Ornithoctonus aureotibialis, and both are getting some decent size to them. This is such a pretty species with the gold on them 😍👀

Our Augacephalus ezendami female is finally getting some good size to her. It’s not a very common species, and although we successfully bred them a couple years back, our female died pretty unexpectedly. I really hope we can find a male for this girl eventually, as this is one of my favorite species 😊💛

Another Harpactira female, our Harpactira gigas. She’s incredibly gorgeous in person, and definitely on the spicier side. She also loves to eat 😂🖤

Our female Harpactira marksi is so gorgeous. She’s pretty calm for an old world too, and tends to bolt instead of threat posing. Although she has threat posed me a few times too 😂😅

This gorgeous girl is a species that’s giving myself and my fellow breeders some grief. Heterothele gabonensis. For some reason, across the board, females have just been eating their egg sacs for no discernible reason. It’s super frustrating, but makes me want to successfully produce this species even more 🙃👀

Our gorgeous Typhochlaena seladonia was out last night so I took the opportunity to snap some pics of her. She’s getting some good size and is absolutely stunning 😍🌈

It’s so nice having so much space!!! We’re finally able to display our inverts and snakes the way we want to. All of the inverts have been unpacked and put on display. And the move to Michigan has made it so we’ll be able to do a lot more with our spiders. We have a paired Encyocratella olivacea female, and we’ll probably have a lot more pairings coming up ☺️👀
