Good afternoon! Meet Maple Mae--she's a 3 year-old Cocker Spaniel who is very timid and can sometime lunge in an aggressive sort of way when someone gets too close. She is the kind of dog that needs time to warm up to new people and environments. While our first training session was a bit rough, the second one was so much better. Her urge to lash out was much improved. We even worked her toleration of new people walking near her and tamed her want to associate with new dogs. Keep up the great work, Maple!

Good afternoon! Remember Pippa? This 4.5 month-old cutie pie did so well in her training! While she still can be a bit over-engaging at times, she made leaps and bounds in her social skills. During her last training session, we fine-tuned those skills, and her dog mom has all of the skills needed to help maintain these as home. We are sooooooooo proud of you! Way to go, Pippa!

Good afternoon! Remember Sasha? This now 2 year-old German Shepherd (she was 8 months-old when we first started training her) used her last training appointment for a training "tune-up." This happens on occasion--this is why purchasing training sessions ahead of time ever expire. Although pups may have the necessary training they need as young pups, they transition from "toddlers" immediately to "teenagers" in which regression can sometimes occur. They just need some reminders and by going back to basics, the learning curve is not so steep and puts them back on track quickly. Way to go, Sasha!

Good afternoon! Meet Poppy--this adorable 4 year-old Dacshund was a regular attendee at our Doggy Daycare when it was open a few years ago. She has grown since then and got much more red as she has aged. However, she has developed separation anxiety over the past few months, especially since her dog mom has been spending more time at home after recovering from surgery. Now her dog mom is worried when she has to go back to work, since Poppy now cries like a baby and whines as soon as she leaves the house without her, even for short periods of time. She did very well after her first training session. When her dog mom left for an appointment right after our session, Poppy did not make a peep. Keep up the great work, Poppy!

Good morning! Meet Milo--he's a 1 year-old rescue Border Collie mix who is as sweet as can be and has a lot of energy! He was referred to us by his neighbor who is also getting a training refresher. Good afternoon! Meet Knox—he’s an 11 year-old lab/cattle dog mix who is very sociable with humans but not as keen on other dogs, especially those with a lot of energy. Unfortunately, he experienced a couple of attacks in his life which as made him not trust higher energy K-9s and new environments in general. We spent a lot of time trying to unpack the symptoms to get to the root of the issue. Many of you are probably thinking, “At 11 years-old, will he even learn ‘new tricks’?” The answer is “yes,” especially with the right motivation and impulse control. He made remarkable progress during his first session! Keep up the great work, Knox!

Good afternoon! Meet Aruba—she’s a 1 year-old Australian Shepherd who is very smart and playful but can show signs of protection. We made some great progress during our first session and gave her dog mom more confidence to be the alpha in their relationship. Good afternoon! Remember Aerith? This beautiful young Smooth Collie has really learned a lot about how to properly greet other dogs. Before, she would bark loudly at them and scare both the dogs and owners. The barking is now short lived and her approach is much softer. She even got to meet some new friends at the dog park that she got along great with! We are soooooooooo proud of you! Way to go, Aerith!
