AAATTTAAA BOOYYY REDDD‼️ Lil Red made quick work of this old Pa bruiser🦌 The hunter called me at 10:30 am and told me the situation. Shot at 7:30, tracked on blood for about 250-300 yards where they thought they might have jumped the deer. From that point, as usual after a deer beds, the blood trail was non existent. I told him to back out and we would go in easy this evening. Red hit the trail and had us standing on top of this buck in less than a half hour. He said it’s a good thing he called because he was going to go right and keep heading down the ravine assuming that’s the way the deer went, when the deer actually cut a hard left across the ravine and bedded at a vantage point where he could watch his back trail.

A buddy sent me this lil read about a Lacy dog tonight. So accurate, read it.
“I am not a dog. I am a Lacy. I’m half wolverine, half barb wire, and all attitude. I’m either your best friend or your worst enemy, depending on YOUR attitude. I can herd the wildest cows or the gentlest sheep with equal determination. I can work all day in snowstorms, pouring rain, or blistering heat and then ask you to throw the ball when we get done. I will argue with you at every turn. After all, I know what I’m doing and the best way to get it done. I am easy to feed. I will eat your steak or the dead/ rotten gopher I found in the field. You will never be without a navigator in the truck. I will protect you from burglars, grizzle bears, badgers, and that strange shadow in the corner of the barn. I will hog the bed and the couch. I will steal your sandwich, your chair, your boot, and your heart. You will never have to go to the bathroom alone. I will lick your face right after I eat fresh cow s**t. I will sleep next to you when you are sick and heal you with my love. I am a Lacy Dog. Respect me. Love me. But NEVER underestimate me”

And I’m not sure why it says “this photo may contain ai content” because it does not, my buddy took this picture with my phone.🤨

ATTTAAA BOYYY REDDD‼️🦌 🏹Out here Burning the midnight oil💪 I was just about to get a shower and hang it up for the night when this gentleman called and said he needed help. When he told me he was 72 years old and it’s the best buck he’s ever shot I wasn’t about to say no. Cool backstory on how he knew of me. Last week I was on another track, we came to posted signs and the hunter made a call to get permission, he said “the landowner gave us permission BUT he said I better send him your number incase he ever needs a tracker” Well it turns out THIS Hunter tonight was the guy who owned that land and got my number‼️ It’s funny how things always seem to work the way they need to in the universe. Congratulations sir, beautiful Pa Whitetail🫡🫡

🎈🎈🎉ATTAAA BOYYY REDDD‼️ #1️⃣0️⃣0️⃣
Is on the tailgate💪💪💪🫡🫡 This is a special milestone for us or for any tracker when they hit 100 successful recoveries. A lot of people don’t realize what goes into this. It’s far from easy, theres never enough time. To hit that milestone 2 weeks into what is only our fourth season together feels great. I’m so proud of lil Red, he’s a great example of a pure stud tracking dog. I’m proud that he’s been a special part of so many peoples success in the field. We rarely get the easy tracks. We’ve recovered so many after grid searches came up empty, other dogs came up empty, when all signs said it’s a gone deer and managed to put those deer on the tailgate, we have never cared what the odds say, what the haters say, we go out there and get the job done when it seems hopeless. I’ve always caught heat for saying what I’m about to say but after running over 400 tracks I still have the confidence to say that IF that deer is dead and not tracked too early and pushed out of the county, we WILL find it 9 times out of 10💪 This dog has the grit to never stop and I have no problem hanging with him. Lord willing🙏 We will continue to make those famous, almost patented words echo thru the Pennsylvania woods for years to come “ ATTAA BOYY REDD”
So cheers 🍻 to 💯 and now we start looking for 200‼️

My phone has been ringing off the hook for tracks. I’ve tried to redirect to other good trackers. I’m sorry, I thought Red was good so we ran some tracks Thursday but when I got home from work Friday Red was back to walking on three legs. Now today(Sunday morning) he’s finally starting to put some weight on that sore foot. I’m sure he’ll be ready to go Tmro or Tuesday. Again I apologize. I hate leaving ppl stuck when they’re looking for help. I just have to look out for the long term. If I run him too hard on an injury it could ruin him, and that’s the last thing any of us want or need. We’ll be back to yelling AATTA BOYY REDD very soon💪

This dog just doesn't quit. Half a mile through rough terrain and he put us right on him 🫡

Another successful recovery in the books. Love watching this dog work through the woods. What’s your game plan if you need a track this season?
