My name is Casie, and I am the owner and trainer here at Wayward Paws Dog Training. I have almost a decade of professional dog training under my belt, starting with Patriot Assistance Dogs in Detroit Lakes , MN while I was in college in 2016. I helped with training the PTSD service dogs there, as well as assisting in group training classes. I have continued training since returning to Wisconsin.
I believe in balanced training, with a heavy emphasis on positive reinforcement. Positively reinforcing the behaviors that we are asking any creature (including humans) can form a strong bond built on trust and positive interactions.
At home I have 2 personal dogs of my own, an Australian Cattle Dog, and a bulldog shar-pei mix. In my free time I love taking them on adventures- especially hiking and camping in the summer months.
