🚚🐾 We can't forget about Touch-A-Truck! 🐾🚚

We always have such a great time at Touch-A-Truck, and this year was no exception! It’s so much fun watching the kids explore our Animal Control trucks, ask questions, and share all their animal curiosity with us!

A huge thank-you to the Beaumont Children's Museum for having us out once again! We love getting to connect with our community and meet so many curious little animal lovers.

After all, it's never too early to start teaching kids about pet safety, how to interact with animals, and the importance of being kind and responsible pet owners. Thank you for another fun event! We can't wait to see everyone again next time! 🚔🐕

Meet Moxie -143459! This spazzy, fun-loving girl got her name from having plenty of moxie! She’s the perfect size for anyone looking for a smaller-to-medium-sized companion, but don’t let her size fool you — Moxie has a big personality packed into that little body. She does have some hair loss, but thankfully, it is not contagious, and she has already been started on a preventative that seems to be helping! Moxie does great with other dogs and would love a home with playful canine siblings who can keep up with her fun-loving energy. If you’re looking for a pint-sized pup with a whole lot of personality, Moxie is ready to meet you!

Please note this time frame could be moved up due to lack of space! Kennel space is a municipal shelter's hardest daily battle. Though we strive to hold adoptable pets a minimum of 30 & a maximum of 45 days, the shelter welcomes 5 to 25 new animals through our doors every single day. Because large-scale emergencies can fill our remaining kennels without warning, we are getting ahead of the crisis by spotlighting this long-stay pup today. Please don't wait until space runs out completely!

Meet Princess -143430! This sweet girl has been through quite the journey. She was left behind after her family was evicted and arrived in heartbreaking condition, with the majority of her ribs visible because of how thin she was. Thankfully, Princess has been receiving plenty of care and attention, and she is looking better every day. She is steadily gaining weight, getting stronger, and beginning to let her fun personality shine through. Princess is a feisty, playful girl who loves to have a good time and would do fantastic in a home with other dogs. She also listens well to commands and absolutely loves treats, which makes her eager to please and ready to learn. Princess has already come so far, and now she’s looking for a loving family who will help her continue thriving and show her just how wonderful life can be.
