Looking to welcome a loving pup into your home while supporting our Service Dog mission? 🐾 We have two sweet, fun-loving, AKC-registered Havanese pups looking for local companion homes in Northern Virginia.
🎀 Trixie (Female • 2 Years Old)
🎩 Domino (Male • 2 Years Old)
How the Guardian Companion Program works: They live with you as your cherished, full-time pet! They only visit us briefly for breeding purposes: Domino for mating, and Trixie for whelping, and return right back to your home afterward. Once their breeding period is complete, full permanent ownership is happily transferred to you! By opening your heart and home to Trixie or Domino, you directly support our ability to raise and train life-changing service dogs for veterans in need!

Teaching a clear, distance-proofed "place" command gives your dog a dedicated "job" to relax on. When your dog learns to stay on their bed while you move around the room or step away, peace and quiet at home become second nature!

Julia took her boundary targeting to the store, holding a place on top of some stacked feed bags. This kind of surface conditioning, exposing your dog to uneven and unfamiliar textures, helps them master body awareness and balance. 🌟

A little rain won't stop progress! 🌧️ Doug and Rocco headed into Old Town Warrenton for a public exposure session. Despite the weather, there were still lots of real-world distractions around. School buses, delivery vans, umbrellas, wet pavement, narrow sidewalks, traffic, and pedestrians! Proofing manners in all weather conditions ensures your dog is reliable 365 days a year, rain or shine! 🌟

Spotting a warthog on the sidewalk isn't something most dogs prepare for! 🐗 but Doug sat right down, posed like a pro, and waited for his new friend to move (legend says he's still waiting).

Does your dog pull toward crosswalks, react to passing cars, or struggle when walking alongside another dog? 🚗🐕
At K-9 Caring Angels, we train for real life! Our field trips to local spots like the Warrenton Greenway teach dogs how to maintain clean heel work, wait patiently at intersections, and stay calm around noises.
