Friday tip! Continuation on what things a trainer or clinician may notice versus what you may have just gotten use to seeing. I hope this is helping everyone see little things that can become big things later on.

Thursday Thought ✨ (sorry I’m not the best writer!)

What feels like forever today may not even be noticeable six months from now.

Take the time today to truly pay attention to your horse. What do they need today? What do they need right now?

Even something as simple as catching a horse teaches us this lesson. If we take the extra hour today to slow down, listen, and help them understand, then in a few weeks it may only take minutes. But if we rush because “I need to catch this horse” or “I need to get the job done,” then three months from now we may still be fighting the same battle.

When we choose patience today, we create trust for tomorrow.

If we take the time to understand them now, then months from now they won’t avoid us — they’ll want to be with us. They’ll come to us willingly.

The time you invest today becomes the relationship you have tomorrow.

It’s a beautiful day. The more you enjoy being around your horse the more they enjoy being around you. Just be and let everything else go, happy Monday everyone!

8 years ago we lost a very special dog Lucy! A dog who truly taught me!

Animals are one of the greatest gifts we are ever given in this life. They walk beside us through our happiest moments and somehow seem to know exactly how to comfort us during our hardest ones. From the beginning of our journey until the very end, they become more than just pets — they become family. We raise them, love them, protect them, and care for them as if they were our own children. In return, they give us a kind of unconditional love that cannot be explained in words.

What makes animals so incredible is not just their loyalty, but the lessons they quietly teach us every single day. They teach us patience, trust, forgiveness, and how to love without conditions. They remind us to slow down and appreciate the small moments — a walk outside, a quiet afternoon, or simply being together. They see us at our best and our worst, and they love us the same anyway.

When they leave this world, they leave behind more than memories. They leave pieces of their soul with us. The paw prints they leave on our hearts never truly fade. Even after they are gone, the lessons they taught us and the love they gave continue to shape who we are.

Sometimes we do not even realize how much they have changed us until we look back and see the person we became because they were part of our life. Animals are not “just animals.” They are companions, healers, teachers, and family. Their love is pure, honest, and unforgettable — and anyone who has ever truly loved an animal understands that a piece of our heart will always belong to them.

Friday tip!!! Little things turn into bigger things, both good and bad. Being aware of where your horse is at is so important. The horse knows if you know they also know if you’re not aware.

Working the way back to the new normal:). This is a young horse in training and learning how to maneuver around me and realizing how much bigger he is as he grows. Just like kids growing and once being able to run under the table, then a growth spurt, then they hit their head.
Looking forward to writing articles again and doing videos!!
