Sharing for our HS aged athletes

It’s almost time! Applications for the 2027 Smarty Rodeo Young Pro Team officially open October 1st! To be eligible, athletes must be enrolled in 9th, 10th, 11th, or 12th grade as of August 1, 2026.

Over the next few weeks, we’ll be sharing tips and tricks to help you put together your best application and application video, along with some insight into what we look for during the selection process and ways to let your personality stand out.

Whether it’s your first time applying or you’re coming back to give it another shot, stay tuned and get ready. We can’t wait to meet the next group of Smarty Rodeo Young Pros!

What a special surprise to find this article about Rockin’ Youth Rodeo. ❤️

What started in 2021 as a way to create more opportunities for kids in rodeo has grown into something far bigger than we ever imagined.

One quote probably sums up why we keep doing it better than anything:

“It’s a lot of kids’ best day ever… so I can’t not do that.”

And that really is it.

We believe in giving kids a place to learn, compete, get dirty, build confidence, care for their animals, make lifelong friends, and keep getting back up when things don’t go their way.

As I told The Reflector, “It’s not about being the biggest… I believe in what we’re doing.”

So grateful for every contestant, family, volunteer, sponsor and community member who continues to believe in it with us.
