Friends of the Animals Baton Rouge

Friends of the Animals Baton Rouge FOTA is a 501(c)3 non-profit foster-based rescue that began in January 2010. We were established for the purpose of rescuing dogs from shelters. www.fotabr.org

We are not an open intake shelter. Since starting in 2010, FOTA has found forever homes for more than 7,000 animals from local shelters and our FASS re-home program. FOTA Alternative to Shelter Surrender (FASS) is a program where an owner or finder can foster a dog with the intent to have the dog re-homed.
