This week we're excited to introduce Ash-Lin, one of our dedicated Primary Overnight Veterinary Technicians!
While most of us are asleep, Ash-Lin is here providing attentive, compassionate care to our hospitalized patients throughout the night. As the overnight technician, she independently monitors each patient, responds to their changing needs, and ensures they remain comfortable and safe until the morning team arrives.
One of the things her coworkers appreciate most is her positive attitude. Even after working a 12-hour overnight shift, she greets the morning team with a smile and an upbeat energy that helps start everyone's day on the right foot.
We're incredibly grateful for Ash-Lin's dedication, compassion, and commitment to providing exceptional overnight care. Thank you, Ash-Lin, for everything you do for our patients and our team! 💙💚🐾

This week we're proud to introduce Jill, one of our talented Registered Veterinary Technicians!
If there were an award for adaptability, Jill would certainly be a top contender. She has an incredible ability to seamlessly transition between departments, quickly adjusting to each team's protocols, workflows, and patient needs. Whether she's working in Surgery, the ICU, Internal Medicine, or another area of the hospital, Jill consistently provides exceptional care and support.
One of Jill's greatest strengths is her willingness to jump in wherever she's needed. Her teammates know they can count on her, and every department is happy to have her on the schedule. She approaches every challenge with professionalism, compassion, and a genuine desire to help both her patients and her coworkers succeed.
Watching Jill grow into the confident, skilled technician she is today has been truly rewarding. Her dedication to learning, commitment to excellence, and unwavering team-first attitude have made her an invaluable member of the CAVS family.

This week we're excited to introduce Demian, one of our skilled Veterinary Technicians!
Although Demian is one of our newer team members, he joined CAVS with several years of experience in a university critical care setting. His strong clinical background, keen eye for detail, and passion for continuously improving patient care have made him a valuable addition to our hospital.
Demian is a vital part of our ICU team, where his thoroughness and dedication help ensure every patient receives exceptional care. He also rotates through our Surgery and Internal Medicine departments, bringing the same level of focus, compassion, and professionalism wherever he's needed.
We're grateful to have Demian as part of the Capital Area Veterinary Specialists family. Thank you, Demian, for your commitment to excellence and for making a positive impact on the lives of our patients every day! 💙💚🐾

This week we're honored to introduce Stacey, one of our incredible Client Care Representatives and a true founding member of the CAVS family!
Stacey has been with Capital Area Veterinary Specialists since the very beginning, helping build the welcoming and compassionate environment our clients experience today. Over the years, she has become a familiar and trusted face for our clients, referring veterinarians, and our entire team.
As our Front Desk Lead, Stacey helps guide and support our front desk team while ensuring our clients receive the exceptional communication and care they deserve. Known for her ability to handle even the most challenging situations with patience, compassion, and grace, Stacey has a remarkable way of making people feel heard and supported. Whether she's helping a worried client navigate a difficult day, assisting a referring veterinarian, or finding solutions behind the scenes, she approaches every situation with kindness and professionalism.

Strike Up Some Fun! 🎳✨
A huge shout-out to the incredible team at Capital Area Veterinary Specialists!

This past weekend, we traded our scrubs and stethoscopes for bowling balls and laser tag phasers, and it was an absolute blast.

Behind every smooth-running shift, every compassionate patient handoff, and every late-night emergency is a group of hard-working professionals who truly know how to support one another. Teamwork isn't just about what happens inside the clinic—it's about the laughs we share when we step outside of it, too.
