🐾 Happy National Dog Day from our dogs to yours! 🐾

Today we’re celebrating all the amazing dogs who make our lives better just by being in them. We’re so grateful for every pup who walks through our doors and gets to be part of the Luce Pet Services family. ❤️

🐶 Rigby: Our oldest and our doodle! Rigby is the sweetest, most loving boy, and he’s actually the dog I learned to groom on. His endless patience as my original test subject is definitely notable 😂 But what truly makes him special is his loyalty and his appreciation for a lazy Sunday morning. He’s happiest just being with his people.
🐾 Ada: Our terrier and our wild child! Ada is my “do anything” dog. She is always ready to GO GO GO! Whether it’s brunch at a café or a hike through the mountains, she’s at my side and happy to be there. She’s got the biggest personality and keeps life exciting!
🐩 Tanselle: Our poodle and our baby! She’s still finding her footing, but she’s turning out to be the perfect mix of the two. She’s loving, snuggly, smart, and sweet. She loves being on the grooming table, and I absolutely love getting to groom her. ❤️
Three completely different dogs, three completely different personalities, and somehow, the perfect little trio. They truly make our life perfect. 🥹

That means more flexibility for busy families, more weekend availability to get your pets looking and feeling their best. 🛁✂️🐶

Let’s talk HAND STRIPPING with my gal Ada Bee🤍 🐾

Does your dog have a wiry, harsh coat? Hand stripping may be the grooming method their coat was designed for!

Hand stripping is a specialized technique where the dead outer coat is carefully removed by hand plucking, allowing the new coat to grow in properly and helping preserve that characteristic coarse, textured coat.

🐶 Common breeds that may benefit include:
• Russell Terriers
• Schnauzers
• Wirehaired Dachshunds
• Wire Fox Terriers
• Cairn Terriers
• Border Terriers
• Welsh Terriers
• And other wire-coated breeds

✨ Why hand strip?
Unlike clipping, hand stripping helps maintain the coat's natural texture, color, and protective qualities. It can also help keep that classic terrier look!

Hand stripping isn't right for every dog or every coat, so we'll evaluate your pup's coat and discuss the best option for them.
