Behind every door:
🍫 A dog who ate the entire bag of chocolate. Including the evidence.
🐈 A suspiciously untouched litter box.
🦮 Retractable leashes stretched across the waiting room like tripwires.
🫣 “He doesn’t bite…” whispered from the shadows.
💊 “Did I give Cooper his medication today?”
💻 And somewhere down the hall… “Well, Google said…”

⚓🐾 Before cats supervised our laptops, they helped supervise ships.

A little maritime history for Columbus Day: sailors kept cats aboard to help protect supplies from rodents—and for companionship on long voyages. A pretty big job for someone who naps that much. 🐱

🍬 “I checked the candy. It wasn’t toxic!”
But did your pet eat the packaging, too? 👀

When pets help themselves to Halloween treats, unwrapping is rarely their strong suit. Even if the candy isn’t toxic, swallowed wrappers can cause choking or an intestinal blockage. That’s one trick nobody wants. 🐾

Our team’s advice? Keep candy AND the crinkly evidence out of reach, including in a secure trash bin.

📞 Missing wrappers and a suspiciously innocent face? Call us or an emergency veterinary clinic promptly if you suspect your pet swallowed one. Don’t wait for symptoms—and seek immediate emergency care for trouble breathing.

🚽🐾 Why Does Your Pet Follow You Into the Bathroom?

Because apparently “personal space” was not included in the adoption agreement. 😂

But there’s some real animal behaviour behind your bathroom entourage.

🐶 Dogs are highly social animals. Staying close to members of their social group can provide security and connection. Plus, dogs are excellent at learning routines—so following you from room to room can simply become part of their daily pattern.

🐱 Cats are territorial and naturally curious. They like keeping tabs on changes within their environment, and that includes where you disappear to. A closed door can also make whatever is happening on the other side suddenly VERY interesting.

In other words, your trip to the bathroom may be boring to you. To your pet, it’s a group activity. 🚽🐾😂
