🐾 Nurture Animal Clinic on Local 12 News! 🐾

We’re excited to share a recent Local 12 News segment featuring Dr. Gabe Ibanez and reporter Marella Porter, highlighting an important clinical research opportunity happening right here at Nurture Animal Clinic.

Dr. Gabe spoke with Marella about the WINK Dry Eye Study, a national study focused on canine dry eye (keratoconjunctivitis sicca). We’re proud to be one of the veterinary practices selected to participate and to help advance our understanding and treatment of this condition in dogs. 🐶👁️

A big thank-you to LOCAL 12, WKRC-TV and Marella Porter for helping bring attention to veterinary clinical research and the opportunities available to pets and their families in our community!

Our study team at Nurture Animal Clinic is proud to participate in an important clinical trial focused on canine kidney health. 🐾💙

For eligible dogs, participation includes ongoing monitoring such as:
• Physical exams
• Blood pressure checks
• Blood and urine testing
• Kidney ultrasound and imaging at select study visits

By taking part, your dog may help researchers better understand how chronic kidney disease progresses—and contribute to knowledge that could benefit dogs in the future.

Our Nurture Animal Clinic study team recently had the incredible opportunity to attend a Loyal conference alongside veterinary teams from across the country as we continue our work on the STAY Study.

The STAY Study is the largest veterinary study ever conducted, with an ambitious goal: to better understand aging in dogs and help extend not just their lifespan, but their health span - the number of years they can live healthy, active, and thriving lives. 🐶❤️

We’re proud to be part of research that could help shape the future of veterinary medicine and, ultimately, give dogs and their families more healthy years together.

Our team is excited to bring what we learned back to Nurture and continue contributing to this groundbreaking work. We’re grateful to our study participants and their families for helping advance what we know about canine health and aging!

Nurture Animal Clinic will be closed today, August 12th due to power and phone outages in the area. We will contact clients to reschedule their appointments as soon as power is restored. For emergencies, please seek care at Care Center Vets or MedVet Cincinnati.

Kidney disease often develops quietly. Researchers are working to better understand the early stages of the condition, and your dog may be able to help.

We are enrolling dogs over 3 years of age with early-stage chronic kidney disease, as well as healthy dogs for a comparison group. Eligible dogs will participate in scheduled study visits over approximately one year.

Help advance veterinary medicine while supporting research that may benefit dogs for years to come.

🎉 Big News from Nurture Animal Clinic! 🎉

We're excited to announce that starting Monday, August 24th, Nurture Animal Clinic will officially be open on Mondays! 🐾

Our current schedule of Tuesday through Saturday will expand to Monday through Saturday, giving you even more opportunities to schedule wellness visits, sick appointments, surgeries, and everything in between.

We know life gets busy, and adding Mondays means more flexibility and improved access to the veterinary care your pets deserve.

Thank you for continuing to trust us with your furry, feathered, and scaly family members. We can't wait to see you six days a week!

🐮❤️ We weren't kidding when we said we treat all kinds of patients!

This adorable little calf is spending some time with us in the hospital, soaking up plenty of TLC while we help get him back on his feet. We have to admit... it's pretty hard not to stop for a few extra snuggles. 🥹

At Nurture Animal Clinic, we care for dogs, cats, rabbits, guinea pigs, reptiles, birds, farm animals, and so much more. Our philosophy has always been simple:

If they fit through the door, we'll treat them! 🚪💚

As we celebrate the Fourth of July with family, friends, and fireworks, please remember that not all pets enjoy the festivities as much as we do.

🎆 If your pet becomes anxious, fearful, or stressed during fireworks, don't wait until the last minute to seek help. Anxiety medications can make a world of difference, but they often require an examination and planning ahead. Give us a call sooner rather than later so we can help your pet have a safer, more comfortable holiday.

🐶 Helpful reminders:
• Keep pets indoors during fireworks displays.
• Make sure collars and ID tags are up to date.
• Provide a quiet, secure space where your pet feels safe.
• Consider white noise, calming music, or a favorite treat-filled toy.

What a wonderful day at the Clermont County PRIDE! 🌈🐾

Thank you to everyone who stopped by our booth, shared stories about your pets, entered our vaccine-for-life raffles, and helped make the day so special. We loved meeting members of our community, reconnecting with familiar faces, and celebrating the people and pets that make Clermont County such a great place to call home.

At Nurture Animal Clinic, we believe compassionate veterinary care starts with making every client and every pet feel welcome, respected, and cared for. We were honored to sponsor this year's event and are grateful for the opportunity to support our community.

📣 Clinic Closure Notice

Nurture Animal Clinic will be closed on Saturday, June 13th so our team can participate in and support the Clermont County PRIDE Festival, where we are proud sponsors of this year's event.

If you're attending, be sure to stop by our booth! We'll be raffling off FREE VACCINES FOR LIFE for one canine patient and one feline patient, plus handing out fun giveaways and goodies throughout the day.

At Nurture, our mission has always been simple: providing compassionate, high-quality veterinary care for every pet and every family who walks through our doors. We're excited to spend the day connecting with members of our community and celebrating the human-animal bond that brings us all together.
