Today, the TAT era has officially closed.
Today we lost our founding herd buck, Finn.

I am heartbroken to say the least, but he gave ten good long years of memories to leave behind.

Until we meet again, Finn.

We lost another good one today.

GC Eligible TAT’s Pongo
Barbabas’ Puck x Gerhart’s Pippi Longstocking

He was a sweet boy and the foundation of our blue program. We may no longer show or breed but we still have our old guys. He will be dearly missed

Looking for some help. I’m not sure if anyone on here bought rabbits from me anywhere from 2016-2017/2018.

Looking for anyone who’s got Dutch still that have “Patrick Swayze” somewhere in the pedigree. His owner who bought him from me would love to have his lines back.

Let me know! It’s a long shot, but I figured I would check and see

RIP to another one of the OGs.
Patrick Swayze was apart of the group of rabbits I brought down from up north to start my rabbitry. After a couple of years, it was time to move on for Swayze.
Jenny Hooks, thank you for taking such good care of him. I’m glad he had a loving home ❤️

We only have two OGs left in the rabbitry. Very bittersweet as it is final that this chapter is closed. Rest in peace sweet boy.

AS A REMINDER…

I have gotten an influx of messages lately from people looking for show rabbits.
We no longer breed, and have not for over a year now. I do have some PETS available for anyone who may be interested, but we do not, and there are currently no plans to have any more litters.

I am more than happy to give recommendations, but please remember we do not breed any longer.

This one hurts to write.

GC TAT’s Cruella De Ville
GC TAT’s Charles Dickens x Mason’s Poprock

This doe was a hell of a doe. From youth, to open, to specialties. She’s won fur competitions against national winning breeders, she’s won be BIS, RBIS, multiple times. She had an outstanding amount of legs by the time I stopped showing. She was as mean as she was gorgeous. She was the only doe I’ve ever taken to have a C-section because she was pushing for hours on end for a stuck kit, and when the vet said, “I’ve never done a C-section on rabbits” I said “try anyway”.

I’d almost sold this doe multiple times. But she stayed. She stayed and she showed and she bit me and she charged me and there wasn’t a night I didn’t say “do it again and you’ll get the broomstick”. Of course those were just empty words, I loved the damn doe even though she hated my guts.

I looked for everything possible I could to fix her. I searched for every answer but I knew it wasn’t going to happen. She had done SO much for me, even though she couldn’t breed. Even though she had the two babies, that was more than enough for me. I wish there were other answers but I had to stand by her and help her on out of this world.

Cruella, thank you. Thank you for everything you had done. You were a mean big black doe, but you were everything a breeder could want. Give everyone some love for me across the rainbow bridge. We will sure as hell miss you over here.

While we don’t show anymore, we still have FFA kids that do!
Congrats Sualba and her steel Dutch buck for winning Grand Champion Buck in the Osceola Fair!
Osceola was the last fair in central Florida that Tell-A-Tail Rabbitry had not yet had a Grand Champion, or a Reserve Champion in their fair.
This particular buck is Meek’s Tom Sawyer x TATs Fahrenheit 451, one of our last litters.
Congrats again! We are proud of you from here at the rabbitry!!

One year ago we said goodbye to the matriarch of the rabbitry.
Many of you have her in the pedigrees of your rabbits somewhere. Mason’s Poprock (right) was one half of my dynamic duo. EVERY litter they produced, they produced great winners.
Here she is pictured on her very last day with Meek’s Huckleberry Finn, one of two of the only bucks I ever bred her too. If it wasn’t him, it was his son, TATs Charles Dickens ❤️

*TO THOSE SHOWING IN RABBIT FAIRS, ESPECIALLY POLK COUNTY YOUTH FAIR*

The deadly rabbit hemorrhage disease was found in Lake County Florida. ARBA shows are now under a 60 day quarantine. If you are showing in any fair, for the safety of your rabbits, I suggest you pull out. One week of fair is not worth the safety of your rabbits!

Hey all.

Tell-A-Tail Rabbitry is officially closed. Due to COVID and the rabbit hemorrhage disease that is floating around, shows are limited without a Heath certificate, or just shut down period!

So it is with sadness that I write that we are closed down and selling out. Most of the rabbits are gone now, I still have a couple of bucks if anyone is interested.

I want to thank everyone and anyone who believed in my these past years. It has been a long and uphill battle learning this breed and spending the time to evaluate everyone who was born into my barn, as well as a joy getting able to meet so many clients and helping them find their rabbit.

I am holding on to a breeding pair so may or may not breed for the FFA and 4H kids that come every year, but for now, it’s goodbye ❤️
