**ROXY - APPRECIATION POST**

Today, our sweet old lady Roxy just wanted to be outside. She laid there feeling the breeze on her face and listening to the rain hitting the roof, and we let her stay as long as she wanted. In just a few months, Roxy will turn 18 years old. She came into Ashley’s life at just 4.5 weeks old.🥹 There is such a bittersweet beauty in getting to love a dog well into their senior years. 🐾💕 We know what an incredible gift it is.

After saying goodbye to Neevah, Hurley, and most recently Dallas, we are painfully aware that growing old is a privilege not every one of our babies gets to have. We feel so incredibly blessed that Roxy and Shelby have gotten to become our little old ladies, and that Cosmo and the kitties are with us to keep the young energy going in the house.

But watching them age is hard, too. You notice the slower steps. The longer naps. The things that used to be easy taking a little more time. And you find yourself wishing you could somehow ask time to slow down right along with them. So that’s what we’re trying to do. Slow down with them. 🐾🩵

We don’t know how much time we get with any of them. We just know that however much we’re given, we want them to know that there is nowhere else in the world we would rather be. 🐾

Take your time, sweet girl. We’re not in a hurry. 💕

🌈 🐾Today, our Aussie Mom family got a little smaller.

This morning, we said goodbye to our sweet Dallas. 💔 He was so deeply loved and such an important part of our family, and we’re going to miss him more than words can say.

We like to think that Hurley and Neevah were waiting for him at the Rainbow Bridge, ready to welcome him and show him around. 🌈🐾 Until we get to see all three of them again, we’ll hold onto all the happy memories, goofy moments, and unconditional love Dallas gave us.

Run free, sweet Dallas. We love you always. 🤍🐾
