Please be aware smoke can affect your pets too!

🚭🐱 Did you know? Cats can be affected by secondhand smoke too.

When cats groom themselves, they ingest harmful chemicals that settle on their fur from cigarette, cigar, and va**ng smoke. Exposure to to***co smoke has been linked to respiratory disease, asthma, and an increased risk of certain cancers, especially in cats.

If you smoke, consider doing so outdoors and washing your hands before handling your pets. Small changes can make a big difference for their health.

🌡️ Hot Cars Can Turn Deadly in Minutes 🌡️

As temperatures rise, please remember: Never leave your pet in a parked car—even for a few minutes.

On a warm day, the temperature inside a vehicle can climb dangerously high very quickly, even with the windows cracked. Pets can suffer from heatstroke, which is a life-threatening emergency.

🐾 Signs of heatstroke include:
• Excessive panting
• Drooling
• Weakness or collapse
• Vomiting
• Bright red gums

If your pet shows signs of overheating, move them to a cool area and seek veterinary care immediately.

When in doubt, leave your furry friend at home where it’s cool and safe. ❤️
