🐾💙 My patients are often the best reminder to slow down. They don’t worry about yesterday’s appointment or next week’s schedule. They’re just happy to see the people they love, chase a ball, or enjoy a good nap.

Not a bad way to spend a weekend. Happy Furry Friends Friday! 🐶

One of the best decisions I’ve ever made was leaving corporate veterinary medicine and opening my own practice.

Every day, I’m reminded why I chose this path. Being able to focus on what is truly best for each patient and their family—without the pressures that often come with corporate medicine—has made all the hard work worth it.

I’m incredibly grateful for the trust so many of you have placed in me and for the opportunity to care for your pets the way I believe they deserve to be cared for. Thank you for supporting this dream and allowing me to do what I love every day. ❤️🐾

Adrenal disease is one of the most common conditions I see in middle-aged and older ferrets 🦦. Hair loss, especially starting at the tail, itchy skin, or changes in behavior can all be early signs 👀.

The good news is that treatment options are available and can make a big difference in your ferret’s quality of life 💙.

If you’ve noticed any of these changes, don’t wait—schedule an exam so we can discuss the best plan for your furry friend 🩺✨

🐱 Did you know heart disease is fairly common in cats?

Hypertrophic Cardiomyopathy (HCM) is the most common heart disease we see in cats. The tricky part? Many cats act completely normal until the disease has already progressed.

Keep an eye out for:❤️ Faster or heavier breathing❤️ Sleeping more than usual or less interest in playing❤️ Trouble breathing❤️ Sudden weakness or inability to use the back legs (this is an emergency)

Regular checkups are important because some cats with HCM don’t show any obvious signs early on. If you’ve noticed any changes in your cat’s breathing, energy, or behavior, give us a call. We’d rather check them and find everything is okay than miss something important.

Early detection can make a big difference. Do you know which breeds are more prone to HCM?

🐾💙 Furry Friends Friday 💙🐾

One of my favorite parts of being a veterinarian is meeting pets with completely different personalities. Some are brave, some are cautious, and some make themselves right at home the moment they walk in. 🐶🐾

It’s those little differences that make every week memorable. Have a great weekend!

I’m sorry I’ve been a bit absent the past few months. Some of you may remember from a previous post that my dog, C**t, was diagnosed with lymphoma. We went through a long road of different chemotherapy treatments, and while it wasn’t easy, it gave us 6 extra months with him—time I’ll always be grateful for.

A few weeks ago, I had to say goodbye to him, and it was one of the hardest decisions my family and I have ever had to make. Saying goodbye to a pet is never easy. They’re family, and losing them feels like losing a piece of yourself. But as painful as it is, helping them find peace and ending their suffering is one of the greatest acts of love we can give them.

If you’re going through something similar, please know you’re not alone. If anyone ever needs someone to talk to, I’m here—and there are also support resources available. ❤️
