Have you ever dreamed of being in a movie? Yeah, me neither, but..... Our drone will be playing an important part in an upcoming short film. We only broke one prop (quickly replaced), and at least we didn't have to memorize any lines! Thanks to the director, crew, and actors for allowing me to work with them. More to come!

Helped with the finding of Doodle last night. Left before a recovery was made but we are hearing that he is safely back as of early this morning. He had approached the trap set out by an excellent volunteer lost dog recovery expert twice before we left. Genny Kowalski trap sat for hours until Doodle walked into her trap at 2 AM. She (and all of the lost dog recovery experts) is the best!

As I am sure you have heard, the Prairie Ghosts put out another excellent song which highlights the drone aspect of lost dog recovery. At least that's how we heard it :-)! We compiled some of the highlights from our drone assisted finds and with their approval, we put together a music video featuring this awesome song. If you haven't heard their music, make sure you follow them on YouTube and Facebook. Have a great day everyone.

A professional media company took our footage and photos and videos from Michael Davis from Best Furry Friend - Search and Rescue added the expertise of Linda Hartman from Lost Dogs Illinois and an interview with Donna Davis to make this piece about the Mia Rescue. Very Cool!

Premiere of the video we put together using the song from Prairie Ghosts called Angels in the Dark which honors all of the volunteer lost dog recovery experts. We had to cut so many awesome photos and videos but hopefully everyone gets an idea of what these awesome humans do on a daily basis. We encourage you to add photos of other experts that did not make the video in the comments. Feel free to add as many as you want! Let's try to recognize as many people as possible even if they're not in the video!

A song dedicated to all the heros that do dog rescues in anyway. Here is your anthem written by Donna Hoffman and performed by the Prairie Ghosts They recently wrote and performed Apollo's Journey and wanted to highlight the work of the volunteers who work so tirelessly to reunite families and rescue dogs. If you fall under this category in anyway, please send me some photos or videos showing the glamorous and not so glamorous parts of your work. I'd like to put together a video to go along with this unbelievable song. Also please comment in the YouTube's comment section about how this song made you feel and what it means to you. Let's support this talented and creative group of people.

Yay Team Bourbon! Great work!

Home at Last! Home at Last! BOURBON, the GoldenDoodle missing from , IL, is home safe and sound!

Recovery Story from Team Bourbon:
SmithicAir Video => https://youtu.be/AI9lKz4h8s4

Bourbon’s journey home is a beautiful reminder of what patience, teamwork, and the right approach can do.

Sightings started coming in quickly thanks to flyers and social media, helping the team determine he was staying in a nearby forest preserve after being pushed from his home area. SmithicAir was the first to get eyes on Bourbon and helped identify his location and movement patterns.

Like many lost dogs, Bourbon was in survival mode and did not respond to early lure attempts. So the team adjusted. A feeding station with food, water, and familiar scent was placed, and within minutes Bourbon showed up and began to settle. Once a dog feels safe and has food, everything can change.

With Bourbon calmer and his belly full, Bree, his owner, trusted the team and her instincts and tried one more time. Using her special call, “burpy durpy urpy,” she snapped him out of survival mode and he ran straight to her like a reindeer.

Bourbon is safe at home where he belongs.

This is why we say do not chase, use scent, and be patient.

Thank you to Team Bourbon, Jill, Denise, Mike from SmithicAir, Marcie, Joel and Deb for their expertise and guidance in getting Bourbon home. And thank you to Bree for trusting the process and following her instincts, and to everyone who reported sightings and gave him the space he needed.

~Team Bourbon
